¡Hola mi muy querida comunidad! He vuelto luego de unos cuantos días de ausencia y no podía hacerlo de otra forma sino con una maravillosa manualidad. Estos días fueron complicados, muchas cosas sucedieron y mis emociones pasaron por todas sus facetas (risas), entre todas las cosas, digamos que de las menos agradables estuvo que lo de mi muela (se los mencionaba en mi publicación anterior) era un poco más grave de lo que nos hubiese gustado, pero ya nos estamos haciendo cargo, estoy en medio de una nueva recuperación y ya sintiéndome mucho mejor. Y lo mejor de todo (porque obvio hay cosas no tan buenas pero siempre habrá algo genial) me gradué ¡ME GRADUÉ! * procede a hacer un bailecito de la victoria * sí, ya soy oficialmente una Ingeniera Civil y definitivamente, eso me hace inmensamente feliz.

Ya habiéndolos puesto al día con mi vida, hablemos de la manualidad. Se trata de unos hermosos aretes en porcelana fría, estas piezas tienen un efecto marmoleado en tonos rosas y blanco, que quiero enseñarles a hacer a través de este tutorial. Es una pieza femenina, elegante y delicada, ideal para regalar en este día de las madres, por eso, esta es mi participación para el concurso propuesto por la comunidad y aprovecho para invitar a mi bella amiga @mily23m.

These days were complicated, many things happened and my emotions went through all their facets (laughs), among all the things, let's say that the least pleasant was that my tooth (I mentioned it in my previous post) was a little more serious than we would have liked, but we are already taking care of it, I am in the middle of a new recovery and already feeling much better. And best of all (because obviously there are some not so good things but there will always be something great) I GRADUATED! * proceeds to do a little victory dance * yes, I am now officially a Civil Engineer and that definitely makes me immensely happy.

Having caught you up with my life, let's talk about the craft. These are beautiful earrings in cold porcelain, these pieces have a marbled effect in shades of pink and white, which I want to teach you how to make through this tutorial. It is a feminine, elegant and delicate piece, ideal to give on Mother's Day, so this is my participation for the contest proposed by the community and I take the opportunity to invite my beautiful friend @mily23m.

Materiales:

• Porcelana fría (rosa y blanca)
• Aros
• Anzuelo
• Pegamento blanco
• Top Coat
• Dremel
• Lámpara UV/LED
• Herramientas para trabajar la porcelana fría
• Alicates de joyería

Procedimiento:

Iniciamos tomando dos porciones de porcelana fría, en mi caso tomé la porción de blanco más grande que la de rosado, esto será a tu gusto, dependiendo del color que sea el predominante y la intensidad de los colores involucrados.

Materials:

• Cold porcelain (pink and white).
• Hoops
• Hook
• White glue
• Top Coat
• Dremel
• UV/LED lamp
• Tools for working cold porcelain
• Jewelry pliers

Procedure:

We start by taking two portions of cold porcelain, in my case I took the white portion larger than the pink, this will be to your taste, depending on the color that is predominant and the intensity of the colors involved.

Luego estiré ambas porciones formando cilindros no necesariamente prefectos y los uní por un lateral el uno al otro.

Then I stretched both portions into cylinders that were not necessarily prefect and joined them side by side.

Y empecé a mezclar ambos colores para que se formaran estas líneas sin orden alguno entre ambos colores. Lo importante en este punto es no mezclar completamente porque se perdería el efecto marmoleado.

Cuando ya consideré que estaba listo, coloqué la porcelana fría sobre una superficie plana que posteriormente utilicé para aplanar apretando contra la superficie de trabajo que también es plana y se va viendo así:

Ahora, tomamos moldes para cortar la masa, yo he improvisado con un par de anillos, uno lo he dejado circular y al otro le he dado forma de gota.

Now, we take molds to cut the dough, I have improvised with a couple of rings, one I have left it circular and the other I have given it a drop shape.

Estos moldes los he presionado contra la masa hasta cortarla obteniendo un par de gotas y un par de círculos. He tomado lo que ha sobrado alrededor de las figuras, lo he juntado un poco y repetí el proceso para obtener otro par de círculos y gotas, solo que esta vez con un marmoleado más suave.

I pressed these molds against the dough until I cut it, obtaining a couple of drops and a couple of circles. I took what was left over around the figures, gathered it a little and repeated the process to obtain another pair of circles and drops, only this time with a softer marbling.

Ahora con una aguja, mientras la masa aún está fresca, hago agujeros en los lugares que necesitaré colocar aros para poder unir las piezas del diseño.

Dejamos secar el tiempo necesario, yo lo he dejado un par de días y ahora podremos notar las imperfecciones finales, como por ejemplo los bordes que al cortar a veces quedan con rugosidades, esto lo podemos corregir con una lija de grano fino o usando un dremel, igualmente empleando grano fino.

Let dry the necessary time, I have left it a couple of days and now we can notice the final imperfections, such as the edges that sometimes are rough when cutting, this can be corrected with a fine-grained sandpaper or using a dremel, also using fine grain.

Como ya todo está listo, es momento de barnizar las piezas para que tengan ese brillo precioso, yo empleo top coat y curo en lámpara UV/LED, sin embargo, este paso es completamente opcional, puedes dejarlo con su apariencia original que también es muy bonita.

As everything is ready, it is time to varnish the pieces to give them that beautiful shine, I use top coat and cure in UV/LED lamp, however, this step is completely optional, you can leave it with its original appearance which is also very nice.

Ha llegado el momento de agregar los aros, irá uno en cada uno de los agujeritos que le hicimos antes a las piezas.

Now it is time to add the rings, one will go in each of the holes we made before to the pieces.

Yo he utilizado dos tamaños de aros, los más grandes para colocar en los agujeros de las piezas y otros más pequeños para unir los aros de las distintas piezas.

I have used two sizes of rings, larger ones to place in the holes of the pieces and smaller ones to join the rings of the different pieces.

Finalmente, agregamos el anzuelo en la parte superior y repetimos estos pasos para el segundo arete.
