I do my best to maintain normalcy

It's been a while. The first three months have gone by so quickly. The older I get, time seems to become faster. The responsibilities of being an adult can eat up time if you let it. One of my goals in 2026 is to move with intention.

Not just in decision making, but in every day movements as well. Intentionally placing an object on the table with gentleness instead of dropping an object on the table. Taking a moment when I walk out the door of my home to inhale the day and feel the fresh air in my skin. I’m always on the go, but somehow never busy, moving in a rush, and my nervous system is tired.

I’m working to recalibrate. I’m keeping up with my workouts. I can feel the difference in my mobility and I’m so excited. It’s not easy by no means, but seeing the improvement in my range of motion, strength and stamina are indeed a great reward. I look forward to improving more.

My heart is a lot sad. The state of the Iran is very daunting. Costs are up and we are in a senseless war. Sometimes I have to get off of social media because it negatively impacts my mental health. I look to family, friends, reading and exercise to distract me. I do my best to maintain normalcy.

I’ve been reading a lot lately so it’s doing the job!

We are about to go into another wave of holidays with lots of cooking. I’m not looking forward to it, but I’ll do it for my family.

Spring has sprung and the temperature is warm. We’ve also had lots of heat waves. We skipped winter and it’s been more like summer here. How’s the weather where you are ?
