There are many reasons. No. 1 would probably be:

supportive community(es)

I think that I can say that - "Words and thoughts you wrote on Hive will stay on this blockchain forever!"

Things have changed a lot in 5 years of my existence on Hive.
If a person is interested, i would give him all the information on Hive and what i am doing.
Which ways he can earn or invest with caution.

For Investors i could say, HBD is good reason to invest with caution on this platform.

New users, looking for quick earning, i would discourage them to join.

Even if it's probably the main reason why we started on hive, I tend to agree with you...

This is a complex question. Joining Hive remains a significant challenge. I would definitely offer my friends who are interested in Hive everything I know about it.
However, if I were to do it intentionally, I would profile those interested. For example, photographers are an interesting profile to join Hive, as there are many photography-related contests offering rewards.
Then, all those who are involved in finance and crypto, on HE, you have hundreds of tokens with which you can buy and sell in all possible ways, here you can learn tokenomics, then various interest communities, not least owners of small businesses who can easily integrate HBD and BTC payments (of course, depending on the legislation in the country). But I would not invite anyone with the intention of easy earnings here, because that is not the case.

This seems to be a recurrent thought of people who are here for a longer time...

A very interesting question for the week. I'd tell them they own their content here, with no risk of getting banned or getting deleted.☺️

My Single Best Reason for Joining Hive

I've been publishing websites since the last millennium, so believe me when I tell you that, "Hive is the easiest, cheapest, and most enjoyably rewarding way to publish your own website."

Notes

That's my single best reason why people should join Hive. And I feel that I should add some notes about my links:

  1. My first link is the earliest I can find so far on The Wayback Machine. Though I have a half memory of earlier work. But you need to remember the domain name for website archive searches. And so far, I can't. Also note that the archive is often age-restricted by Internet Service Providers. Because it is relatively uncensored.
  2. Advertising revenue is optional on a Hive-sourced blog. But in my second link, I wanted to prove that it works. Because I'm relying on it if I ever get round to writing my larger websites on Hive. I intend to improve the look and feel before promoting my Hive blogs.

That's something that is often overlooked by people on hive. You create your content on a blockchain and you can use this same blockchain as your database. No hussle to maintain the database, no php update, no hack... and it's all free!

For now I think "Join Hive the easiest way to monetize your content"
But yeah after that I might need more time to explain a lot of aspect of Hive, otherwise they can get nuke to sub zero.

The first reason that came to my mind is "One can make money on Hive!!!"

It's not wrong though since 1 dollar is still 1 dollar - but I do know it's not a get rich quick scheme... But I think such "catchy" reasons can them tempt people to take a deeper look!

I also started because of the monetary incentive and then stayed for other reasons but I believe it's an important first reasons to learn about the blockchain...

Low startup cost to create an account. Earn "free" crypto by writing whatever random thoughts come to your mind. Not a bad deal.

That's quite true when people don't expect to earn hundreds of dollars for doing nothing...

The communities, so many are so supportive when you are getting started. It took me a long time to really start really earning anything because I was a self starter. It was hard, but getting into the right community made all the difference!

simple but honest. I am not a hypocrite, making a long comment telling how great HIVE is inhope some big fishes see it.

in term of technology, in blogging platform, we are far left behind

But, but, but... You aren't powering down or taking out your HIVE like some other people... So, it has to be something more than just a monetary value? 😜

I liked the ideia of creating content about web3 game, finance, anime and hive helped with that. Constantly making posts about this topics and find communities that also talks about it.

This topic is indeed quite popular on hive and the fact that some games are linked to the platform makes it quite a great combination.

Yeah lot's that came to hive did because of Splinterlands for example.

I think it's about the ability to create content you want without censorship, and it also lets you monetize it. When I joined, it was for the money, but now I think its more for the community.

I would say the number one reason to join Hive is that it has something for everyone. There are so many different communities and apps/games that you will never get bored and even if your interest may change just explore other communities and you will probably find a new passion to get involved with. Oh and by the way, did I mention any action you take on the Hive Platform with earn you a little crypto currency...

My "main reason" would entirely depend on my audience. If I were talking to a Japanese friend I'd point out that you can earn much higher interest rates by buying HBD than you can earn from a typical yen savings account (0.2-0.4%). Actually, I have had this conversation with one particular Japanese friend for several years now and he is fascinated by MY progress, but not so keen on taking action himself. 😂

Well, in his case, he's a well-established doctor who, although he complains about falling income, is comfortably off... The first step would be to get him to dip his toe into Bitcoin as his daughter has done... He's been "looking" at Bitcoin for years too, so I'm not holding my breath when it comes to the Hive blockchain! It's fun to talk to him about it, though.

I won't lie that I usually talk about the possibility of making money, in the case of crypto, with posts and engagement. It's simple to compare: I say that on Instagram you post photos to get likes and comments and that's it, but here on Hive, you can do the same (using the liketu frontend) and earn all that and even more, which is crypto, that is, money from your first post.

Of course, I also talk about freedom of expression, community, meeting new people, and so on.

Do you want to try a crypto game that doesn't require much blockchain knowledge to play? While others are confused with MetaMask and its many blockchain settings, Hive uses Hive Keychain with the Hive Blockchain only. It's easy to use, like Ronin Wallet and MyCloudWallet (WAX Specialized). Specializing in one blockchain wallet is a good start for a newbie in the crypto community, including Hive.
!LOL !PIZZA

Conclusion: Simple blockchain wallet

I agree that the blockchain wallet is quite straight forward but it's not an uncomplicated blockchain all the same...
