Hoy es mi domingo musical y les traigo a mis panas de PapaShanty y su gran tema Música de Paz, por allá por el 2005 más o menos comenzó a sonar esa tremenda canción con un gran contenido en sus letras que de alguna manera bajaban la tensión de la situación en el país.

Desde que salió esa canción y la escuché por primera vez de una la descargué para poder escucharla en el carro, sé que esta canción la he colocado aquí para ustedes, pero siento que esta canción necesita ser de nuevo escuchada, no por razones políticas más bien por razones de humanidad de esa que se ha ido perdiendo, y es que cuando uno pone ese tema a sonar, de inmediato se siente una buena vibra como dice mi amiga @angelica7 una vibra tan genuina qué ese ritmo logra unirnos a todos sin importar de dónde venimos, en aquellos años, PapaShanty no solo armó un tremendo movimiento en la escena musical con su reggae, sino que nos dejó una lección bien clara sobre el respeto y la tolerancia que tanto necesitábamos.

A pesar de que con el tiempo intentaron manosear su mensaje desde distintos sectores ya sean los delincuentes que ocupan cargos en el gobierno, como también los otros delincuentes esos que se conocen como los alacranes, todo eso con la intención de ganar con escapulario ajeno, mis panas se mantuvieron firmes defendiendo la esencia de su arte de su música y de su letra, supieron mantener su independencia para demostrar que la verdadera paz le pertenece a la gente de a pie y no a ninguna bandera ni partido político, lamentablemente eso les costó muy caro al punto de que también uno o varios de ellos salieron del país.

Hoy en día, volver a reproducir este clásico en mi domingo musical es rescatar esa empatía y esa buena energía que tanta falta nos hace en el día a día, nos recuerda que la música sigue siendo nuestro mejor refugio para sanar, reencontrarnos como hermanos y mantener viva la esperanza de un mañana mejor.

Today is my musical Sunday and I bring to my homies PapaShanty and their great track Música de Paz. Back around 2005 or so, that incredible song started playing with rich lyrics that somehow lowered the tension of the situation in the country.

Ever since that song came out and I heard it for the first time, I downloaded it right away so I could listen to it in my car. I know I’ve shared this song here for you before, but I feel it needs to be listened to again—not for political reasons, but rather for reasons of humanity, the kind that has been getting lost over time. And when you play that track, you immediately feel a good vibe—as my friend @angelica7 says, a vibe so genuine that its rhythm manages to unite us all regardless of where we come from. In those years, PapaShanty didn't just build a huge movement in the music scene with their reggae; they also left us a very clear lesson about the respect and tolerance we so desperately needed.

Even though over time different sectors tried to tamper with their message—whether the criminals holding office in government or those other criminals known as the alacranes, all with the intent of taking credit for someone else's work—my homies stood firm in defending the essence of their art, their music, and their lyrics.
