Mi amanecer de todos los lunes

Hoy en mi amanecer de todos los lunes celebro la vida.

Hoy es primero de septiembre y también es el primer lunes del mes de septiembre, un día para agradecer, un día para estar feliz, un día para hacer el bien sin mirar a quién. Sí, yo sé que esa frase no es mía, pero yo la aplico todos los días. ¡Naguará, hasta en verso me salió!

Todos tenemos muchas cosas por las cuales agradecer en esta vida. Yo agradezco por mi familia, por mi hogar, por mi vida, por mi esposa, por mis hijas, por mi hermana que justamente está de visita hoy en la ciudad donde yo vivo actualmente. Mis sobrinos vinieron a dormir en mi casa y en este momento están dormidos. Por eso, por algo tan simple como eso, yo agradezco. Claro que agradezco, sobre todo, tener una familia como la familia que tengo.

Y hoy, primero de septiembre, repito: es un buen día para agradecer, te invito también a ti que me lees. Es algo tan simple como dar las gracias por todo, absolutamente por todo: por las cosas buenas y por las cosas que probablemente tú puedas considerar que no son buenas. Y a la final, parece mentira, aunque ustedes no lo crean. Bueno, yo lo creo, a veces es mejor lo que sucede.

Y mientras escribo estas palabras, después de mi rutina deportiva, el sol comienza a pintar de naranja el oriente de mi ciudad. Hay un silencio suave, con una brisa de lluvia y bueno en las fotos se ve como las nubes de lluvia que medio impiden los rayos del sol, y ese acto tan sublime, pienso que el mundo también estuviera agradeciendo. El café ya está en la mesa, y en ese aroma reconozco la rutina que me sostiene, los pequeños rituales que me recuerdan, que estoy vivo, que estoy presente y por eso también agradezco.

Hoy no voy a correr. Como a veces hago todos los días, hoy quiero quedarme un rato más en esta gratitud que no necesita grandes gestos ni discursos. Basta con mirar a mis hijas, con escuchar el canto de los pájaros, que por cierto son mi mejor alarma, con saber que mi hermana está aquí, que mis sobrinos duermen tranquilos. Eso, para mí, es abundancia.

Y si tú que me lees estás pasando por un momento difícil, te regalo esta idea, sé que es difícil, pero a veces lo que parece una pérdida es solo el comienzo de algo nuevo. A veces lo que duele, enseña. Y a veces, lo que no entendemos hoy, hoy será motivo de agradecimiento.

Así que sí, celebro este lunes, celebro este primero de septiembre, celebro que estamos aquí, tú y yo, compartiendo este amanecer.

Como dice el refrán… El sol no espera por nadie. Pero siempre sale para todos.

Solo dedícate a ser feliz encontrar tu luz, segundo a segundo.

My Monday Morning Sunrise

Today, in my Monday sunrise ritual, I celebrate life.

Today is the first of September and also the first Monday of the month—a day to give thanks, a day to be happy, a day to do good without looking at whom. Yes, I know that phrase isn’t mine, but I apply it every day. Naguará, it even came out in verse!

We all have many things to be thankful for in this life. I’m grateful for my family, for my home, for my life, for my wife, for my daughters, for my sister who happens to be visiting today in the city where I currently live. My nephews came to sleep at my house and right now they’re still asleep. For that—for something as simple as that—I give thanks. Of course I’m grateful, especially for having a family like the one I have.

And today, the first of September, I repeat: it’s a good day to give thanks. I invite you too, the one reading me. It’s something as simple as saying thank you for everything—absolutely everything: for the good things and for the things you might consider not so good. And in the end, it seems unbelievable, even if you don’t believe it. Well, I do believe it—sometimes what happens is for the better.

And as I write these words, after my morning workout, the sun begins to paint the eastern sky of my city orange. There’s a soft silence, with a breeze that carries rain, and in the photos you can see how the rain clouds partially block the sun’s rays. In that sublime act, I think the world itself might be giving thanks. The coffee is already on the table, and in that aroma I recognize the routine that sustains me—the small rituals that remind me I’m alive, that I’m present—and for that, I’m also grateful.

Today I won’t run. Like I sometimes do every day, today I want to linger a little longer in this gratitude that doesn’t need grand gestures or speeches. It’s enough to look at my daughters, to listen to the birds singing—who, by the way, are my best alarm—to know that my sister is here, that my nephews are sleeping peacefully. That, to me, is abundance.

And if you, the one reading me, are going through a difficult moment, I offer you this thought. I know it’s hard, but sometimes what seems like a loss is just the beginning of something new. Sometimes what hurts, teaches. And sometimes, what we don’t understand today will one day be a reason to give thanks.

So yes, I celebrate this Monday. I celebrate this first of September. I celebrate that we are here—you and I—sharing this sunrise.

As the saying goes… The sun waits for no one. But it always rises for everyone.

Just focus on being happy—finding your light, second by second.
