Día de Piscina/ Swimming Day

Hola, les deseo que tengan muy bello día y que Dios los bendiga. Seguramente estarán de acuerdo conmigo con que de vez en cuando salir a despejar con seres queridos y amigos es una necesidad. A veces no nos damos cuenta de cuánto lo necesitamos.
Les quiero comentar sobre el día en la piscina que tuve con mi pareja y algunos amigos de la iglesia. Aunque al principio no quería ir porque me sentía un poco mal, me hubiera arrepentido mucho de no asistir porque la pasamos fenomenal.

Hello, I hope you’re having a lovely day and that God blesses you. I’m sure you’ll agree with me that every now and then, getting out and about with loved ones and friends is a must. Sometimes we don’t realise just how much we need it.
I’d like to tell you about the day I spent at the pool with my partner and some friends from church. Although at first I didn’t want to go because I wasn’t feeling very well, I would have really regretted not going because we had a brilliant time.

El principal motivo de reunirnos era para de paso celebrar el cumpleaños de dos amigos nuestros que cumplieron años recientemente: Moisés y Rolando. Fue muy divertido cuando les cantamos felicidades y ellos tenían que terminar solos la canción. La verdad que se respiraba un ambiente muy agradable.
Como es típico de esta temporada en Cuba, había mucho sol y la tarde fue muy lluviosa. Pero aún así disfrutamos muchísimo. Todos nos pusimos de acuerdo para llevar algo de comer para compartir. Además, en el lugar había una parrilla a la cual le dimos muy buen uso, asamos muslos de pollo para el almuerzo y carne de cerdo para más tarde. Incluso hicimos chicharrones. También teníamos pastelitos, galletas con pasta, embutidos, y un jugo de guayaba espectacular.

The main reason for getting together was to celebrate the birthdays of two of our friends who had recently turned a year older: Moisés and Rolando. It was great fun when we sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to them and they had to finish the song on their own. To be honest, there was a really lovely atmosphere.
As is typical of this time of year in Cuba, it was very sunny and the afternoon was quite rainy. But we still had a brilliant time. We all agreed to bring something to eat to share. What’s more, there was a barbecue at the venue which we put to good use; we grilled chicken thighs for lunch and pork for later. We even made pork crackling. We also had pastries, shortbread biscuits, cold meats, and some spectacular guava juice.

Como varios de los amigos nuestros tienen niños en todo momento el ambiente estuvo muy animado con sus ocurrencias. Otra cosa que disfruté muchísimo fue que mi novio me enseñó a jugar al futbolito de mesa y al billar. En este último aún soy bastante mala pero me divertí como nunca. Fue una linda experiencia que jamás había tenido.
La piscina estaba muy hermosa y limpia. Me llamó la atención que tenía un tobogán para lanzarse a la piscina. Era muy cómodo porque habían varias tumbonas alrededor de la piscina para sentarse a descansar o tomar el sol, así como un área con varias mesas y sillas donde nos sentamos juntos a almorzar.

As several of our friends have children, the atmosphere was always lively thanks to their antics. Another thing I really enjoyed was that my boyfriend taught me how to play table football and snooker. I’m still pretty rubbish at the latter, but I had the time of my life. It was a lovely experience I’d never had before.
The pool was lovely and clean. I was struck by the fact that it had a slide to jump into the pool. It was very comfortable because there were several sun loungers around the pool to sit and rest or sunbathe, as well as an area with several tables and chairs where we sat together for lunch.

Le agradezco mucho a Dios por haber tenido un día tan alegre y divertido, además de por tener una familia de amigos tan maravillosa. Entre risas y momentos inolvidables terminamos la tarde. Espero pronto podamos volver a tener una reunión así. Saludos a todos, gracias por leerme.
