Threads Might Be Small Now But....

This is a follow up to my 'crazy thoughts' post from about 24 hours ago.

And while there isn't any scientific backing to some of the claims I'm going to go over, I'm really running on gut feelings for this stuff. For now....

So I wanted to try an experiment and see how many Lions would take part in a simple call to action on Threads.

Here's what I posted....

A simple little poll, about 48 hours ago just asked for Lion to comment or vote on the poll if they saw it.

Nothing too crazy, no incentives, just a simple....If you see this, let me know.

It was inspired from driving back from Calgary for work on Wednesday afternoon. Along the highway, I saw one of those 'you just proved advertising works' type of billboards. The idea or thought behind advertising like this is, if someone reads the billboard they understand that their eyes made it to that advertisement.

Which sure, may be decades old tactics but I don't know if you've noticed these days but...Old things are new once again.

So what is the future for advertising here on Threads?

Does it have any traction?

The first thing you will say is, and this will be the biggest reason why this MAY not be viable....Yet....Is that the numbers just aren't there.

And again, I use the word YET. Like I mentioned in my 'cray thoughts' post, sometimes I think I may be ahead of the game in a lot of marketing and advertising just because I develop these ideas, they usually flop lol But years later, they seem to catch on. I'm not saying this is a prophetic gift lol Heaven's no! This is just bleeding entrepreneurial blood...We try things. A lot. Sometimes it fails miserably.

Which is why I'm bringing up Threads now....Maybe, we tried 'advertising' on Threads too soon?

Here's the kicker and the reason my mind is racing a million miles a minute now....With all the things that are about to happen in the LEO eco system, and all of it pointing back to our little community on the web....Are we SUPER early to this game?

Let's look at that image above....I don't have the statistics in front of me, so this is gut feeling time, but 40 engagements in the form likes on the Thread. Over 20 comments responding to it, 7 of which ended up using the poll an giving a vote. So while this may not be a revelation in marketing and advertising numbers....What if....

What if InLEO 10x's it's user base in the next month or two....

What if InLEO 100x's it's user base in the next month or two....

So you can see, over 40 engagements is something I'm pretty excited about.

What does this all mean for every day users of Threads?

This is my pitch....

Keep. Being. Active!

This is the time to build your brand awareness on this platform. This is the time to add massive value in the form of comments, votes, engagement and content! Because right now, it's super easy to stick out from the crowd when you have 100 or so active daily users.....MUCH harder to do when you have 1000 or 10,000 daily active users.

This is Jongo....Trying to time the market. Thinking I'm still in the right place and the PERFECT time.
