The Journey On Chain

I saw an interesting post this morning on chain. It was written by @bradleyarrow and he was scratching his head about why some people seem to be selling all their tokens right now.

It got me thinking, obviously looking at my own situation and what I do anytime I sell anything here, sometimes I feel guilty, other times I'm happy to sell...But I also started to realize that some people's journey on chain, ends.

Which is really weird for me to say because I've always been one of those guys that has maintained....Sticking to it!

I used to call it my super power in business. I would stick with things, no matter what. I would keep on, keeping on per se and never give up. Which at times, bit me in the butt. But overall, I think the ability for someone to stay the course can pay off in the long run.

Not always though.

And it's evident that sometimes, people have just had enough.

Which we can never judge and it's important to remember that their journey will never be the same as yours. So at times, I used to get frustrated when people would cancel a subscription with me, or not show up and promote / market as much as I did.

I used to get angry because of it. Heck, in my younger, naive days I even got mad at the person for 'giving up', so I thought...The fact is, we will never know what a persons reason is for packing it in.

There are times, if I'm being completely honest where I have felt like giving up on all this blockchain stuff. Heck, I'm pretty sure the thought crossed my mind this week alone lol

And sometimes for people on this chain, they've just had enough. Life throws people curveballs every day and sometimes, it's just time to call it quits.

I actually understand this more than I used to. Personally for me, I get very excited at everything taking place on chain, so I try to put my eggs in a bunch of different baskets. After a while, I get overwhelmed and think it's time to just sell everything so I can relax...

Like I mentioned, I go through these thoughts almost weekly LOL. But obviously I haven't. Sure I have trimmed the fat, and I'm 100% focused on $LEO these days. However I get it...I get that it can be time to call it day.

Today's post is some self reflection on my journey, but the bigger picture was that sometimes the people that we have grown with on this blockchain, pack it in.

We should be happy that we got to share the journey with them, and if they ever do come back, always welcome them with open arms.

That't what community is about. Always being welcoming, to new friends and old that jump on chain and start a journey with us.

(Note: As always 5% beneficiary rewards are being sent to both @leofinance and @leostrategy but speaking about community...I'm sending another 5% to @mcoinz79 because if there's anyone that has been a Lion since day one, it's him!)

I appreciate your viewpoint on bringing back individuals who choose to step away from the blockchain scene. Life evolves, and so do our priorities.

In your experience, does it make a big difference to "users" of the Hive whether or not you own a lot of tokens? If the expectations for using Hive circle around making money for posting, is it effective to stack a lot HIVE, or is it better to sell them for something more stable / more profitable while continuing to earn by posting?

Taking profits is always good in my opinion as I didn't do that for previous 2 bull cycle and I have grown regrets from that. At some point you realize that you cannot die with your crypto assets and sometimes is just good to sell and enjoy life. Money should not be the destination, but the journey and sometimes we need to get down from the hype train.

Not that some will make richies, will even become millionaires even, but some others will just get burned looking at the sun. I did some selling for some assets that already reached new ATH and to tell you the truth, I feel quite well and good about that. I couldn't stand to wait another 4 year cycle to hit it big next...

Some people don't just have patience, and some there own issues is anxiety, the fear of loosing, some are of past mistake and many times it is not good to judge people by their actions, everybody has its own reasons.

I agree that some people just get tired. Nobody knows when people can just stop, and its quite likely when it comes to digital things. Let's see where things go, and they might just come back in the future.

Hive is a chain in clear decline, and those of us who remain inside are playing a dangerous game on the edge. For me, Hive is marginal in my crypto portfolio, but if it were a significant position, I would sell it immediately.

Money is a means, not an end, so it's normal for people to decide to use it.
