The Dream Job Just Got That Much Better...

A little over a year ago, I got hired into what I believed would be the perfect job for me....

I had recently got my commercial driver's license and was in the hunt for a job to get my family out of the rut we were in. I tried my hand a few gigs but nothing seemed to stick until I found a job with....

My church.

In a nutshell, part of the church is a mobile truck ministry that takes bibles, books and heath products to people all across Western Canada. They were looking for a new driver for the job and I literally showed up at the perfect time. God working small miracles in my life :)

Like I said, it's been over a year now and I didn't think I could love the job any more than I already do.

I get to drive a semi around Western Canada and talk to people every day about God and the bible. I mean....Come on lol It really doesn't get any better for yours truly. Until today....

I had an idea that I proposed to my manager, where I could do bi-monthly or monthly book reviews for the church. We have a pretty big publishing ministry to what better way to highlight products that we offer with....A quick review or two!

And while it may not seem like we're solving world hunger here, the point is...This is something I've been doing for the better part of 20 years. Reviewing books. So today I got the green light and well, I have plenty of books to choose from lol

I hope to at least get one review done per month, and maybe bumping it up to two. All depends on how quickly I can get them read of course lol. But Not only is my job the perfect place for yours truly, I also get to combine what I've been doing in my previous 'online life' with these reviews.

Obviously, all the books will be Christian content and something that my church offers. But that's o.k. because well....My new home library is filled to the ceiling with choices of books to read and review.

What's scary.....That's only bookshelf Number 1 of.......4 lol

So yeah, this year got that much more interesting for yours truly. I plan on posting the reviews as well up on chain, to share them here as well. And hope you stop by and check out what I'm reading this month.
