No Ragrets!!
Have you ever seen this meme / graphic online?
It's kind of funny....Some dude got 'no regrets' tattooed to his chest but of course....Spelt regrets wrong. It's funny, makes you smile but for me it always brings back some self reflection on the choices I've made in my life.
Regrets can cripple you. The fear of missing out, the 'what if' questions can linger in your mind to the point where you won't take any risks and play it safe for ever. I personally don't think life is to be lived in a bubble. And while i don't advocate risk raking for the sake of risk taking, calculated risks are something every entrepreneur needs to have built within their being.
I could look back at my life and my decisions throughout my working career and say...Yup, that was an awful decision. Or that was an awful business model. I could say that because it's true. There have been some epic failures along my journey, but here's the nugget....
Every single decision. Every single choice. Has brought you to this point in your life, right now.
Think about that for a second.
You are in control of each decision you make. Every business you start. Every token you sell. Yes, every situation is different but at the end of the day, you pull the trigger on each decision you make.
For me, I'm comfortable with all the decisions. I sleep well at night with them. Do I wish I could have done things differently? Maybe, but I'm still here, still creating, still trying to make a difference in people's lives. So for me, every decision has panned out.
Yup, even putting all my eggs in the 'PayPal' basket. Because watch this butterfly effect...
If PayPal didn't shut me down, I wouldn't have found Steem when I was looking for new crypto options for payments. Which led to Hive, which now puts me right here, creating on InLeo.
What happens if PayPal didn't shut me down? Who knows, but it's not guaranteed that I'd be here today, right now, creating this blog post.
But the decisions I have made, put me right here.
And you have to be o.k. with them. If you aren't sleeping well at night because of the fact you sold Bitcoin at 500 bucks (raising my hand!!!)....You need to let it go.
So what I would advise...And this should be taken with a grain of salt, just look at my track record...
Is to calculate your risks.
Don't just run into things, or make any decision without weighing the consequences of them. And yeah, we don't have a crystal ball and we can't tell the future. But look at some best case and worst case scenarios....And then pull the trigger. And after you do, be o.k. with the choice you made.
And the best thing about being 'right here, right now' is that you always get another opportunity to make a choice.

Regret is always directed to the past. Instead, one should look to the future and figure out how to best deal with the situation at hand from here on out.
Always looking forward!

I agree every decision you make shapes your future...Even not making a decision shapes it as well which most people do not take into consideration. Sometimes I look back and say what if I had choose to... but then, I am very happy with where I have ended up so I am glad that I made the decisions that I did make (or not make) as that is why I am who I am...
Thanks for the comments sir, hope you are doing well

Decision makings are the center of our every day's activities.
Because before any of our single actions are taken, we should have, or had made our decisions either for or against such,
Decision making is part of our daily life style.
It's what makes us who we are today!
Yes, thank you for stopping by.
There will always be more opportunities in life, and I agree that you can't change the past. I still think regrets can be useful as they teach you lessons, and if you learn from them, then it will be easier to succeed.
Absolutely. Always be learning!
It is not good to regret but to reflect on what has been done to learn from mistakes.
Rather than getting stuck on past mistakes, I think it is important to take lessons from them and concentrate on the opportunities ahead.
Agreed!
Very much appreciated, Sir. Lions grow together.
Of course, appreciate you man
We must look forward because the future is always more important than the past.
We can never forget the past though. It's what makes us
I agree that every decisions we make will mold on the person we will become in the future
Thats exactly it!
