Bear markets are tough....
I've been through a bunch with my time in crypto and every time we go through one of these, the general feeling is...Doom and gloom!
I don't have a crystal ball and I most definitely can't predict the future....But one thing is for certain, things go up and they go down. It just so happens that this 'down' is a lot longer than most. To be honest, I'm not sure I'll survive another one, just because I've pretty much exhausted my resources, so unless things sky rocket pretty soon.....
Who am I kidding?
I'll still be here, creating content.
Even if no one reads it, this place on the interwebs has become my home. I am grateful for those that do read my content, but I'm under no illusion that these posts I make will change the course of history. I'm just grateful I can share what I'm thinking and what I'm passionate about.
Which is why, 8 years later I'm still here....Creating.
AI might make our posts obsolete in the future, that's o.k. It's therapy for me lol And with that therapy I present to you....Another 7 days on chain with Jongo...
25,000 Hive Power
I always try to use all my voting power, or at least as much as I can until it hits about 75% or so....Just because, I want to see as many people win as I can on here. And I wish I could give out more votes that would be worth a lot more tokens. But alas....A full vote gets you about 1 Hive at current prices with my vote.

Man oh man, do I ever wish I had funds lol I would buy a bunch of Hive right now, not as an investment...But to give myself more power on voting for others. I love seeing this goal of mine slowly creep down....And we're about 9k left to go!
A hug win as well this past week, was that even though I was on the road for a big chunk of it (offline work) I still managed to lower my K/E ratio from 6.45 to 6.27
I'll take that :)
LEO Goals
Man I'm hurting with $LEO right now. On paper, this token should have been the win of all wins, but it's been really hurt by the markets. I'm still generating tokens by delegating to @leo.voter and curation / creation, but it's nowhere close to being where I thought this would be.
I was one of the original supporters of LEO and I still am bullish on the project, but like I mentioned above...If I don't get a a big win soon, all I'll have left is my Hive Power....From everything I have ever owned lol
And I think this is the biggest take away I have from my time on the chain. It's been great to have when you needed it. It's an escape and therapy like I said...But if we are expecting this stuff to create real wealth for our families....Maybe I just don't have the patience anymore (or the finances). I've been here for almost a decade...
But knowing Jongo.....I'll need the funds, I'll power down everything and then it'll moon shot LOL
So if I have no LEO left in a few months....Expect it to absolutely crush it on the markets lol
Folks, don't take your time on chain too seriously...Just enjoy it.

I love that blog--Don't go anywhere. I'm not. Although, I never did expect to make money here. I like my Hive power because it gives me greater votes. I can upvote more people. I like that, a lot.
When I first started here, 8 years ago, I couldn't get off the ground. It felt horrible. My husband invested a few hundred in me so I'd have more fun. That's all it ever was. Then the price shot up, once, and I thought, wow, I might make money. Then it went down. Back to having fun. Will I make money here? I don't know. As you say, I'm here for the people, for the writing, for the fun.
I hope Hive soars. People need it, and when it's low this place is like a ghost town :) Not me. I blog more when the going is tough. And I blog content that takes a long time to write. Price--not a factor for me.
Hope to see you around in the years ahead. I'm sure I'll expire before my enthusiasm for blogging expires.
That's exactly it. Hive has treated me well over the years. It's provided for my family and let us survive some pretty rough times.
It's back to having fun for me now. It allows me to have a voice. I'll always be grateful for that!
The market is down, it's very normal. $HIVE is down, so other tokens are down. There is no coin/asset now that is still the same like in 2022. Everything is down not just hive. It therefore means $hive is responding to normal market prices shift. When everything balances, hive price will return to 0.6 or even $1. So why are people worried? This keeps bothering me.
At the moment, my advice to any body is to buy as much as possible
hive has been its own worst enemy. but i think people have woken up to that. and change is going to happen. embracing things like @snapie is a great step

Absolutely. Hive wins when everyone here wins. Not just the select few.
You don't have to worry about the VP issue as much anymore. I wouldn't let it run dry, but 100% always takes 2% VP now. I guess it just depends because you wouldn't want to overabuse it.
Yeah, that new change helps for sure. So we can vote until it's like 20% and it's worth the same?
