Monday? Monday!

How was your weekend?
Is usually the first thing people ask each other on a Monday morning. And for the bulk of society, it's usually met with some eye rolls and the 'Monday blues'. The dreaded first day of the work week. It's horrible they say, another 5 days of dragging our feet, waiting for the weekends to arrive.
So here's the thing, I never hated Mondays ever.
Actually, when I was in business for myself it was arguably my favorite day of the work week. To me, it was a breath of fresh air. I got another chance to be remarkable over the next 5 days. A reset. A refresh. Mondays to me, were glorious!
So the first thing you may ask is.....Now that you don't work for yourself, do you still love Mondays?
Absolutely!
Not much has changed to be honest, when it comes to my approach to the first day of the work week. It's still a brand new opportunity to be remarkable over the next week, and it fires me up each and every time I wake up to tackle the day.
Here's a secret....
And yes, it's most definitely your approach and attitude towards the week. But more importantly, it's your approach and attitude towards your work.
That's the real thing people hate.....
It's not the day of the week. It's their job.
Because when you love what you do, and have passion behind it, you can't be any more grateful to get another opportunity to be...Remarkable. Ask the highest achiever you know, and I guarantee you they will say this with conviction...
I love Mondays!
I'm writing this blog post on a Monday evening but I was inspired to write it after a fantastic day at work. And it wasn't like I did anything revolutionary. Nope, it was actually a pretty low event day. But I got to help some customers. I put a smile on some co-workers faces. Helped my boss out with some tasks. Prepared for my next few days on the road.
Again, nothing out of the ordinary but I loved every second of it.
The day started at work with a hot cup of coffee and a smile from ear to ear. And remember, I'm no longer working for myself. So whether the company I work for makes 5 bucks a day or 5000, I still get paid the same. But for me, it's a blessing to do what I do. And hey, I get it....Not everyone 'loves' what they do. And situations are different for everyone....
But if you find a way to add something to your job. Add something to the people you work with. Make people smile a bit more.....
You will start saying it each and every week...
I love Mondays too!

I think it is about discovering happiness at work, regardless of the position in the career path.
To me it depends on the enthusiasm we have already created about our work, and the work place, not about the days per say, everyday is the same 24 hours
Thank you my brother!!
Thanks my friend, awesome post :)
It depends on the weekend, but Mondays tend to be tough, especially in the summer. I think I do too much on the weekend.
Just as you said, I think it has to with our manner of approach to the new day as well as our mindsets. If I love what I do, I look forward to seeing that bew Monday.

Oh, nice to see you finally wrote the post, and I enjoyed reading it. 😅
Anyone who hate Mondays should blame it on themselves, not the day.
Mondays set the pace for a great week ahead. 👍
I'm with you, I love Mondays too.
