RE: Nvidia buys Hugging Face for $12.9B. Founded by French entrepreneurs not in the EU but in the US. What does the acquisition mean for open-source models?

I think it won't be a gatekeeper, but I am not sure if I like how invasive EU regulations are. It does make sense, though, because the EU is a fairly large market. I think people will find other alternatives if the site usability decreases
