Yes, although both are connected. A person chooses what gives him pleasure, and these specific flaws do not bother him.

This anime has its flaws, some things bother me more with hindsight (or at least that's what I think), but overall it's a good series and worth watching.

I feel that the main cause was the fact that anime became mainstream and then streaming services that were popular down here started taking some of them... Some like Netflix…
