I Want A Garden - LOH 244

Hello everyone! It's a great honor to be here. Welcome to my blog.

Right now, I don't have a garden . I don't even have a space for one. But i do have a dream of having one in future.

When i envision my future home, i always picture a garden. Not a big trimming ones with perfect beds on a straight line like the ones in movies . Mine is small and simple - i want something that makes me feel at home - my own safe haven.

I didn't grow up with a garden but my granny had something close to it. She had some plants in old buckets because we lived in urban city. .there was no land to use . She grew scents leaves, bitter leaves and sometimes pepper and okra.

She waters them early in the morning and sometimes , i watched the way she talks to the plants like, they are her friends. I used to laugh at her for that.

There's something soothing and peaceful about growing things. Watching a seed turns to real plant feels like magic . The whole process teaches one to wait,care and be patient - it is a great life lesson.

I don't want too much . I want to grow things i can use for everyday cooking like scent leaves, spinach(green )okro, tomato, pepper ,basil and ugu. Nothing beats the joy of stepping into your own garden to pick fresh vegetables for stew or soup. It saves money too. Scent leaves and basil can be used for cooking and can also help with cold and stomach issues.

Flowers smell so incredible ! I want a flower corner that is just for beauty and calm. I will plant some flowers 🌺 🌹 that do not require too much attention and with bright colors to cheer me up when i step outside. Flowers that bring butterflies and make the whole space feel soft and bright and joyful. I want flowers that forgives me and bloom even if i forget to water them once in a while.

Although i don't have the space yet but I'm planning towards it. And everytime i imagine it, i feel so happy . I know it will take time, energy and learning but i'm ready for the journey.

When i finally have a proper home. I plan to take care of my garden by keeping it small and manageable. I want to be fully involved . Water the plants, mix soil . Learn what works and doesn't work. If i make mistake, i will make some research and try again until i get it right. That's the kind of peaceful life i want for myself.

My garden won't be perfect . It will be for me- to calm me,feed me,cheer me up and reminds me daily that life grows , even in one corner.

So yes, I am definitely one of those ladies who wants a home a garden - not just any garden but one with a purpose.
