First You Learn And You Earn

Hello Hive Learners!

I am happy to be here. I joined Hive platform not long ago and one thing I have learnt already is:
"first you learn and you earn,". My journey on hive is still young but I'm taking it step by step.

When I joined #Hive , everything looked big. So many posts , so many communities ,so many people who already knew what to do . I felt confused and i must admit I was intimidated.

At first, I didn't know how to navigate the platform , where to post, what to write or even how to make content beautiful and well organized .I made mistakes and posted in the wrong places , I even thought of giving up.

A local guide @beauty197 came to my aid. She showed me how some things works, which made my first steps easier and I started picking up gradually.

But even with help I still had to discover and explore many things on my own .. that's Hive, you get support, but it is your own efforts that takes you forward.

I have learnt that hive is not just about writing but it is a community where people from different continents, background shares diverse opinions and sometimes similar values.

When you join,you must first watch and learn. Observe how others post. How they engage and how they support each other . It is not a place to rush but a place where patience pays.

Everyday I spend here, I discover something new. I learnt how to make my word simpler for more understanding by the readers. I have learned how to connect with people through comments. I intend to be consistent even if the results do not show quickly. It's not about money yet, it is about growth.

There are sides of me I haven't even shown yet. I enjoyed cooking and mixing drinks . I will definitely share my kitchen moments and refreshing drinks ideas soon. I also love baking. I was once an instructor . I plan to start giving out simple baking tips that anyone can follow. These are part of me I am excited to bring to hive..just like my thoughts,they are extension of me.

When I say' first you learn and earn'. I'm not talking about earning only money. I'm talking about earning trust, earning genuine friends and earning attention. You earn respect when people see you put efforts, you earn growth when you keep coming back, you earn space when you are consistent. The money will follow later but this one is close to my heart more now.

Some days, I ask myself if anyone is even reading what I wrote but then, I'm still here, still learning. I have to publish the post, I have to interact with people through comments ,I have to vote for contents that resonate with me and also to encourage newbies who are still finding it difficult to navigate their way on the #Hive platform.

We all know that life starts with learning. A child learns how to crawl before he can walk and run. On #Hive it's the same. You learn the platform, you learn the community. Learn yourself, then begin to earn..not necessarily rewards but real belongings.

So, here I am.. imperfect ...not rolling in earnings and votes but still here, still exploring, interacting,still learning..still hoping to share food and drink ideas and eventually baking lessons too. Still a learner.

If you are new lon #Hive like me. You wonder if it's worth it. You question whether you are doing it correctly .. please don't rush. Learn on your own. Accept guidance and explore ..with time you will get to your desired goals.

I believe that the earning part will come as natural as breathing someday . Even now the learning is a gift and blessing. It shows me that growth is never lost and no knowledge is a waste.

Hive has broadened my mind with different individual perceptive and I have been able to see the beauty of the world through the lenses of others.

So I end this post as I began: I am still here, still learning.
