Advent on the Main Square - Part Three

Good morning to all of you this morning, the morning before Christmas, especially to all of you who celebrate it 🙌📸❤️

And today I am with this post on the main square in Zagreb, Ban Josip Jelačić Square.

Ban Josip Jelačić (1801–1859) was a Croatian ban, military leader, and politician. He is best known for abolishing serfdom in 1848 and fighting for Croatian autonomy within the Habsburg Monarchy. He opposed the Hungarian Revolution and advocated the unification of Croatian lands. Today, he is one of the most important symbols of Croatian history. In the very center of the square, a statue was erected in honor of this ban, and we will start this post with that photo.

So, let's go!

And now a few photos and a description of the fountain, which is also located in the immediate vicinity of the statue. The fountain on Ban Jelačić Square in Zagreb is located in the central part of the square and is connected to its arrangement as the main city gathering place. Today's fountain is part of the more modern arrangement of the square and serves as a decorative element and a place for gathering and relaxation. The square has been remodeled several times throughout history, so its architectural details, including the fountain, have also changed.

It is especially beautiful during Advent and the atmosphere around it is wonderful

I took the photos with a Nikon D750, 50mm lens, f/1.8, manual mode, RAW format required, variable ISO and shutter speed. Processing in Photoshop - Camera Raw Filter

And this is all for Today dear Friends, see you tomorrow!
