I did not sleep well and was up well before my alarm went off at 5am. So I was on the road by 5am headed to town for grain.
Was a nice sunrise though.
I had 3 barrels and 3 halves to load. I noticed a guy walk around the corner across the street and he watched me a bit then came over asking about the grain. He was CLEARLY inebriated but a happy drunkenness. He apparently stocks shelves at Walmart at night so had gotten off work and tossed a few back before going out for a walk and a smoke. I told him about the grain and the various uses for it and he was all kinds of stoked. Probably the best early morning interaction I have had with someone in all my years getting grain before dawn.
I got home and then had to unload the grain by shoveling it to the sheep pen.
I went to my weekly session in the morning which was good to get back to after having to skip the week while we were gone. The time always goes SO FAST in my sessions and before I know it the hour is up.
I then headed for Costco to get snack and lunch stuff as J has to take his lunches now for school. 10am on a Tuesday morning was rather mellow and totally the time to go to Costco.
The boys helped unload the stuff once I got home. The hard part is having them NOT plow through it as a home snack...
I got to head out on a bike ride then even though it was about 85F. The heat made it a bit rough so I figured I would keep it to an hour or so. Thankfully the smoke was minimal and the air fairly clean.
It really is super nice to have the power meter on my RS5 as it gives me a MUCH better look at my efforts on rides. My heart rate is not the best determining factor to effort as the zones are too wide and my heart rate has a specific range for most efforts.
The afternoon was spent on various small tasks around the property then once @stryeyz got home from work we loaded up and headed for the school. We were in R's classroom and the boys were laughing at the small, medium, tall of them and Clayton. R is seated next to Clayton's sister this year. We got food at the elementary school then drove up to J's middle school where he had already been wandering his classrooms, got his locker and dropped his bag of supplies.
Today is the first day of school and we will take them over soon. I have a job bid this morning at a client's house down IN Spokane, right above the river by downtown. Then I have work around the property to do, my cloths to wash this morning, garden to tend to, then this afternoon I have to pick J up after his cross country practice which starts first day, then couple's session this evening. I may try for a ride if it isn't too hot when I get home from the job bid.

I am under 700 miles left to hit my year goal of 2500 miles ridden.
