Reaping fruits / Cosechando frutos (eng-esp)

Hello, girls!
Today I want to share a little joy with you and, at the same time, reflect on it.
My grandmother used to say that avocado trees take 7 years to bear fruit, and therefore, that I should never plant them because no one who plants the avocado tree ever gets to see the fruit.
I don't know why she said that, but it was something I firmly believed.

But I've always been one of those women who perseveres. I'm one of those who thinks we should plant today to reap tomorrow. I'm one of those who doesn't like being given anything; I want to earn everything with my own sacrifice and hard work.
So, if I want avocados and I have a yard, why not plant an avocado tree? And that's what I did 7 years ago.

Yesterday afternoon, my husband called me with tremendous joy to tell me that this year, for the first time, the avocado tree had borne fruit.

They're not big avocados. It's not even a large avocado. But it's my first avocado.

For this small avocado that fits in the palm of your hand, I spent 7 years watering a little avocado every day.

As a teacher, I can't avoid the existing analogy. Guitar school takes 9 years until the intermediate level and then five more years at university. Don't you think it's also worth working with these children, future guitarists?
If I thought it was too many years to invest my time in them, I wouldn't have the students I have today all over the world working as professional guitarists.

I will continue to water it every day and let it grow more.

I'm waiting for the few avocados on their branches to grow. Perhaps by December they'll be ready to pick.

They say that those who expect much, expect little.

I will continue to water my plants every day and work on them. Effort and perseverance always pay off.

This isn't the best avocado in the world, or even a good one, but it's the first one to fall from my avocado tree.

Bigger and better things will come soon. I know it.
But this is the fruit I reap for my work. How many can say the same as me? How many people haven't given up halfway through?
Not me. I persevere and work daily. That's why I can reap what I've sown.
We must all do the same. Listen to me and you'll see that you won't regret it.

Hola, chicas!
Hoy quiero compartir una pequeña alegría con ustedes y de paso, realizar una reflexión al respecto.
Mi abuela decía que las plantas de aguacate demoran 7 años en dar frutos y por tanto, que no la sembrara nunca porque nadie que siembra la mata de aguacate alcanza a ver los frutos.
No sé por qué decía eso, pero era algo en lo que creía con firmeza.

Pero yo siempre he sido de las mujeres que perseveren. Soy de las que piensan que debemos sembrar hoy para recoger mañana. Soy de las que no me gustan que me regalen nada quiero ganármelo todo con mi sacrificio y mi trabajo.
Por tanto si yo quiero aguacates y tengo un patio ¿por qué no plantar un árbol de aguacate? Y así hice hace 7 años atrás.

El día de ayer por la tarde me llama mi esposo con tremenda alegría para darme la noticia de que este año por primera vez, el árbol de aguacate, había dado frutos.

No son los grandes aguacates. Ni siquiera es un aguacate grande. Pero es mi primera aguacate.
Por este pequeño aguacate que cabe en la palma de la mano yo estuve 7 años regando cada día un algo de aguacate.
Como maestra no puedo evitar la analogía existente. La carrera de guitarra dura 9 años hasta nivel medio y luego cinco más en la universidad. ¿No creen que también vale la pena trabajar en estos niños, futuros guitarristas?
Si pensara en que son demasiados años como para invertir mi tiempo en ellos no tendría los alumnos que tengo hoy por todo el mundo trabajando como guitarristas profesionales.

Yo continuaré echándole agua cada día y dejando que crezca más.

Estoy a la espera de que los pocos aguacates que tienen en sus ramas puedan crecer. Quizás para diciembre ya estén listos para recoger.
Dicen que el que espera lo mucho, espera lo poco.

Yo seguiré regando mis plantas cada día y trabajando en ellas. El esfuerzo y la perseverancia siempre da sus frutos.
Este no es el mejor aguacate del mundo, ni siquiera es uno bueno, pero es el primero que cae de mi árbol de aguacate.

Pronto vendrán mejores y más grandes. Lo sé.
Pero este, es el fruto que recojo por mi trabajo. ¿Cuántos pueden decir lo mismo que yo? ¿Cuántas personas no se habrán rendido a medio camino?
Yo no. Yo persevero y trabajo a diario. Por eso puedo cosechar lo que he sembrado.
Todas debemos hacer igual. Háganme caso y verán que no se arrepentirán.
