Proud to be a Master / Orgullosa de ser Maestra (eng-esp)
Hi everyone!
Yesterday, we celebrated Teacher's Day in my country. I am proud and committed to being a guitar teacher for over 30 years.

During this time, I have started and graduated dozens of students from almost every province in my country.
In fact, I am a teacher in three provinces and the guitar teaching advisor for the eastern region. Teaching is one of the most beautiful professions there is.

This pride is not vanity. It has a concrete foundation. I say it quite clearly: without teachers, no other profession or trade would exist.
Behind every doctor who saves a life, there are teachers who taught them to read, to reason, to understand science.
Behind every engineer, every artist, every carpenter, there was someone who guided their first steps, who corrected their initial mistakes, who ignited the spark of knowledge.

We are the foundation upon which everything else in a society is built. Without that foundation, there is no progress, no future, no civilization.
That is why being a teacher is an enormous responsibility, but also an unparalleled honor.
My work, however, is not limited to training future guitarists. My commitment is deeper.
A teacher shapes people. Yes, I teach technique, scales, and music theory. But also, in every class, I teach discipline, because without it, there is no progress in music or in life.

I teach patience, because mastering an instrument is a slow process. I teach respect: respect for the instrument, for the composer, for the fellow student.
I teach listening, not just with the ears, but with full attention. I teach that sustained effort bears fruit. I try to develop good human beings, well-rounded individuals who use their talent, whatever it may be, for something positive.
That's why I'm proud. Not only because of the concerts my students have given or the awards they've won.

I feel proud when I see a former student become a patient parent, a responsible citizen, a person who brings beauty and order to their surroundings. A teacher's impact isn't measured in musical notes; it's measured in the character of their students.
That is the true legacy.
It's a profession that doesn't end when the bell rings; it resonates in the life of every person you've touched. It's exhausting, sometimes thankless, but it is, without a doubt, the most important work I can do.

Hola, chicas!

Being a teacher is a valuable profession, and the pride you feel for the fruits of the knowledge you impart, as you say, is reflected in every life you have touched. Have a lovely night.

It's true. Being a teacher is a massive responsibility. Shaping their minds and influencing their futures. That's exactly what makes it such an honor. 💟
