What is it that binds us?
What made me choose you and not someone else?
That question is intense—
every person, every relationship carries it inside,
but not everyone dares to ask.
Sometimes, asking that question actively
is what makes all the difference.

pero a veces no se hacen.
Y de vez en cuando
hacerse esa pregunta de forma activa
hace la diferencia.

In recent years,
this question has become one I ask myself often.
Not because I see people as something to be chosen
like a thing—
but because life has led me down varied paths,
and some of them

Desde hace algunos años
esta pregunta ha formado parte
de las preguntas que me hago a mí mismo.
No porque vea a las personas como objetos
que se pueden elegir,
sino porque las experiencias que he tenido
me han llevado por caminos muy variados,

I don’t believe people are disposable—
but I do believe
that choosing your partner,
your friends,
your family,
and feeling supported by the people around you
is not only important—
it’s healthy.
