El hip-hop venezolano se ha caracterizado históricamente por su carácter frontal y su rechazo a las apariencias ficticias. En la blockchain de Hive, contamos con exponentes que mantienen viva esa llama del underground, y uno de ellos es @fonestreet, artista, productor y graffitero de Punta de Mata (Monagas).

Recientemente, nos ha sorprendido con el lanzamiento de su nuevo tema titulado "Trátame Serio", un proyecto realizado en un tiempo récord de tan solo 12 horas de producción total. Desde la creación de la instrumental con herramientas de asistencia digital hasta la letra, la mezcla, el máster y la edición visual del video, todo el trabajo ha sido gestionado de forma independiente y autónoma por el propio artista.

Venezuelan hip-hop has historically been characterized by its upfront nature and rejection of fictional personas. On the Hive blockchain, we have exponents who keep that underground flame alive, and one of them is @fonestreet, an artist, producer, and graffiti writer from Punta de Mata (Monagas).
Recently, he surprised us with the release of his new track titled "Trátame Serio" (Treat Me Serious), a project completed in a record time of just 12 hours of total production. From creating the instrumental using digital assistance tools to the lyrics, mixing, mastering, and visual editing of the video, all the work was independently handled by the artist himself.

En "Trátame Serio", FoneStreet aborda una crítica directa a las tendencias actuales dentro de la escena, donde muchos creadores presumen de una supuesta vida de calle o utilizan situaciones complejas o lutos pasados como un escudo mediático para generar lástima o atención. Las barras son explícitas y no dejan espacio a malinterpretaciones:
"Se hizo tendencia presumir de calle en sus barras, qué falta de elocuencia imagínate si la pintaran... Yo puedo respetar un luto, pero discuto si estos brutos lo usan de escudo."
Es un llamado a la coherencia y al respeto por los códigos de la cultura urbana, distanciándose de la narrativa ficticia que abunda en el circuito comercial.

In "Trátame Serio", FoneStreet directly criticizes current trends within the scene, where many creators brag about a supposed street life or use complex situations or past grief as a media shield to generate pity or attention. The bars are explicit and leave no room for misinterpretation:
"It became a trend to brag about the streets in their bars, what a lack of eloquence, imagine if they painted it... I can respect grief, but I dispute if these fools use it as a shield."
It is a call for consistency and respect for the codes of urban culture, distancing himself from the fictional narratives that abound in the commercial circuit.
