Weekend-Engagement #275

Hello everyone. This is my first time writing in this community, and the challenge for this weekend caught my attention. A very interesting topic and questions that make us think. So let's try.

1. The worst advice I ever received was that I didn't have to rush into important things because there would always be time. I listened to that once, when I had to apply for a job. I procrastinated and ended up missing the deadline. That's when I realized that opportunities don't come back and that procrastination is your worst enemy. That advice taught me not to wait but to act now.
2. Something I wish I had never done was when I said something mean to someone close to me in anger. Although I later apologized, I realized how much words can hurt. It's an experience I wish I could erase, because I learned that it's better to remain silent than to say something that leaves a mark.
3. The three behaviors I would like to eradicate from humanity are selfishness, hatred, and indifference. Selfishness destroys relationships and prevents cooperation, hatred brings division and violence, and indifference allows injustice to happen without resistance. If people were more willing to share, accept differences, and care for each other, the world would be a more just place.
4. Marketing once made me buy something I didn't need, just because it said it was a "special offer." I realized then that advertising is designed to create a sense of urgency and today it makes us react without thinking. I spent money in vain and learned to think before every purchase whether I really need something.

The photos are from the mountains where I almost always spend my weekends. This bee was made of wood about ten days ago and it reminded me so much of The Beehive that I had to show it to you. We placed it at the entrance to the mountain lodge.
