A New Chapter for My Friend's Business

My friend (also my cousin) has been running a textile export business since 2014 but he’s had no online presence because he doesn’t even use smartphones. Recently after all these years I finally convinced him to step into the digital world and build an online presence for his business.

Honoring a Legacy

Before I dive into the product images let me share how I pulled this off. As some of you might already know or may have just found out from my Hive’s 2024 highlights I mentioned the passing of four of my relatives including my dear friend's father. To pay tribute to his memory I suggested renaming business to Liaqat Textile after his late father Liaqat and talked him into setting up a Google Maps listing.

My First Google Maps Adventure

This was my first shot at managing a business account on Google Maps and pretty soon I realized I’d need some product photos to make it pop. I only had one day to get it done juggling a bunch of other tasks. To top it off my friend wasn’t exactly thrilled about the photoshoot he thought it was a total waste of time. But luck was on my side: I’d already watched and saved a ton of YouTube Shorts on towel folding so I could quickly set up the products in eye-catching poses.

Capturing the Beauty

I grabbed Redmi 13 mobile camera a regular one nothing fancy with AI and got to work capturing the products’ beauty. (Side note: compared to the Poco X3 my phone the Redmi 13 took more effort but it was kind of fun trying something new!) Normally I like to keep it simple with fewer top-notch shots but this time I ended up snapping around 300 photos. Anyway I’ve picked out some of the best ones to share with you all.

Keeping His Memory Alive
