Greetings Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

We have managed to make it to the weekend once again and that means we have managed to make it to Caturday, my favorite day of the week!

It is a rather busy weekend for us here because we have the Daughter-Hooman and her husband and their infant son are here for a couple of days so my Hoomans are very busy doing their thing with the whole family.

We cats are not as comfortable with the situation because having a young toddler — who doesn't quite understand pets yet — is not all that much fun, so we are mostly staying in the background.

Shangri, trying to ignore everything...

Well, Shangri and Nala are mostly hiding in a closet somewhere in their secret hideaway cat beds while I'm more out and about but just try to avoid getting caught.

I actually like the Daughter-Hooman very much because she was the one who originally spotted me at the animal shelter and insisted that I come home with the family! So we have a special bond. And she was also the one who was part of taking the original pictures when the CuratorCat blog started.

She was actually trained as a photography and filmmaking specialist, but ended up going in a completely different direction.

Meanwhile, I'm sure the young one will gain an understanding — within a couple of years — of what it is to be around a cat!

Smudge is mostly unperturbed by the whole thing. The fact that she neither hears nor sees very well is probably a benefit, in this instance!

Otherwise everybody is doing quite well and we are slowly getting ready for the Dad-Hooman's birthday next weekend.

Actually the Dad-Hooman and the Mom-Hooman are going away on next Sunday to take a little thing they call a "road trip," but I don't think that's going to affect the festivities here at home!

Friends forever!

The Dad-Hooman continues to be very busy with his arts and crafts work, getting ready for the weekend event the Hoomans are attending at the end of September, to sell their creative work.

As always, I put on my best supervisor hat and make sure that everything is done with assistance from a cat and that every piece of artwork will definitely be sold with "free cat hair with purchase!"

While it has been nice to see our Hive token doing better recently, I am not going to hold my breath on it being something that's going to last for any time.

Mind you, this time seems a little different from past price spikes in the sense that it appears to be the whole Market that is doing better. Time will tell how it all turns out!

It doesn't really make a great deal of difference to us, around here, since we are in this whole thing for the long run, and it's very unlikely that we would be powering down or selling any Hive!

I can only hope that there are many other community members who feel the same way!
