A milestone worth celebrating :my brother's convocation at LAUTECH

Hello everyone, welcome to my blog.

Better is the end of a thing than the beginning, and this was the exact quote that came to mind today as I traveled across states from Ogun State to Osun State to celebrate with my brother on his convocation.

It is indeed the joy of every parent to see their wards get into the university and be able to complete their studies to mark the end of one phase and the beginning of another phase.

Upon the short notice of convocation sent by the Ladoke Akintola University of Science and Technology, my parents decided they couldn't travel all the way from Delta State but decided instead that I, as the eldest, and my immediate younger sister should attend the convocation, so we set out on Monday, the 21st of April, 2025, with me traveling from Ogun State and my sister traveling from Lagos. Due to the fact that we had left our various locations a bit late, we arrived late at Ogbomosho, and then the three of us chatted away into the early hours of the morning.

By the time we woke up, my brother and sister had gone to the market to get some things to cook for the celebration. Then it was time for the graduation proper. We went into the school and took some pictures. Of course, the whole place was jam-packed with parents and family members who came to celebrate their wards.

It was such an amazing sight to behold because there is always a joy that comes when you are able to start a thing and finish it, and the joy and happiness in the atmosphere was indeed palpable. When you think of the days of going for classes, doing tests, and doing assignments, you know that you have indeed run the race to the end.

It gave me a reminder to also put in my best in my final exams as I also prepare to round off the phase of bagging my first degree as well, and I would like to use it as an opportunity to say to everyone to strive to finish because there's always a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment that comes with finishing.
