◈ Wednesday Walk

Day 2950 | Unexpected Exploration Walk

I started a challenge of taking 100 days off to mainly focus on my health and overall personal development and used this account as a personal blog to keep track of all my activity. I enjoyed it and continued afterward trying to build better habits and find a good balance between health, fitness, work, entertainment, and my personal life...

On Monday, I had to wake up early before 07:00 as I was going to drive my mother to the hospital for an operation to get a new hip. Once there I asked Chatgpt if there is antything worth seeing in the area as I had a lot of time left during the day and I didn't want to sit inside too much with the really hot weather.

So it directed me to a nature domain called het Leen in Eeklo where I drove to after I put her off to get in some steps and find some cooling on the shade.

When I arrived there it started with a watchtower which I climed and was quite scary at the top given it was a metal hinge with holes so you could see way down. The view however was nothing special. I did start sending some pictures to my girlfriend in Thailand kind of bringing her along on the trip.

I pretty randomly walked for over and hour getting in 14k+ Steps on the day and there were enough markers so I could easily find my way back without needing my phone. There were some nice views and spots there

On my way back, I passed by Eeklo city and went to visit the church there while video calling with my girlfriend who is quite religious.

I also went to get something to drink in a store and on my way back, I stopped by the Supra Bazar in the hope to find an egg ring or small pan to make eggs for my asian cooking but I didn't find it.

once back at my appartment, I rested a bit and started making food. This time plain rice with Edamame beans & peas along with some white fish and Cherry tomatoes with the intention to have that as my only healthy meal for the day.

I took a nap or at least tried to in the afternoon in front of my fan and in the early evening I got message that everything went right with my moms operation. I did eat some more with a can of tuna adding some olive oil and some mais crackers with Peanut Butter while I skipped on any weight lifting given the heat and also could not go out for an evening walk as there was some thunder and lightning.

So overall a pretty good and long day.

I really need to start doing muscle exercises if I want to see some actual progress.

I hope your mom will recover from the successful hip operation! Not sure how long the recovery will take, but I hope she gets through it painlessly.

Secondly, I like the place you picked for a walk! It has all that I like to see in a walk... Green forest, small lake/canals, a lot of shade, and potentially catching some nice animal photos! In your place, if I were to go there again, I would take my fishing equipment... 😃
