Yeah, been secretly looking at the O4 things indeed, and I have a 3D printer as well 😉

Hey man, you are on your way, lol. So seriously though... If you have a decent computer, you should be able to use your NEO controller for it, but you can download "LiftOff" or "Uncrashed" from Steam and start freestyling in FPV simulators. I had 80 hours in a sim before I ever lifted a drone off the ground. In your case, you at least have the experience with the camera drones, so that's a start. But get some hours in a simulator, then build a quad and go hit up a bando! LOL.

I do suggest though if you are thinking about diving down the rabbit hole, get a controller that you would use for regular drones. Not sure which DJI controller you have, if it's that motion controller thing it won't work. I suggest, and love the Radiomaster Pocket. It's a sub $100 controller and works great, especially for sims. It will help you build muscle memory using the same controller on the sims that you would use in real life.

I currently have the one from DJI with the screen that I use for the Mini 3 Pro, and the motion controller from the NEO indeed…
Was already looking at some controllers, as I’m also into RC cars (of course :-) ), and RadioMaster does look pretty awesome!
It’s indeed a good tip about the muscle memory! Would you be able to use the RadioMaster on the DJI O4 stuff as well?

If you get an O4 air unit and build a DIY drone, you will also get an ELRS receiver to connect to the Radiomaster.
