Are We Financially Responsible To Other People? ~ MCGI Topic Review.
If God gives us something, it means he wants us to share with everyone. When you are rich, truly, you might have worked well for it but have in mind that it isn’t only for you. You should share with other people.
The question “are we financially responsible to other people?” has an answer yes. The fact that you are the only one who has worked for your money doesn’t mean you are the only one who should spend the money. Yes, we are financially responsible to other people. God wants us to share as much as we can with our fellow Christians.
Since we are Christians, it is important to look into the welfare of our fellow Christians or our brethren.
1 John 3:17 says, But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
God wants us to love our brothers as much as we love ourselves. When we call someone brother, it doesn’t mean that they are the biological child of our parents. They may be our brothers in Christ or we have another relationship with them.
If we see our brother in need, we should help them get out of whichever problem they are in. It should never be our joy seeing our brother in need. The only way we should derive joy is by helping our brothers and sisters in need.
If there is anyone who hasn’t eaten, it is not bad to share our food with them. If we see someone who needs money desperately, we can share little with them. The little help we render to people go a long way and that can put a smile on people’s faces. So, we are financially responsible to the needs of our brothers.
