RE: Hive with its own Prediction Market?

Thanks for the write-up, I built this app. I haven't really started marketing it or anything yet, kinda a soft launch while I tinker behind the scenes. In the early days of this I'm actively keeping an eye on it and stepping in/fixing if things fall down. My first time building something as ambitious as this, but lots of fun. I just entered the market you created, awesome to see someone else create a market that wasn't one I created, haha.

Sorry if sharing this all over made a mess. Didn't know you were sort of soft launching, otherwise would have done it less loudly... 🤣
Either way, if it helps you improve it, that was the main idea, also because I believe it has merit. So, I wanted to kindly expose that.
Haha, no need to apologise. It was ready to go anyways, I'm just terrible sometimes not pushing things as hard as I should sometimes. Glad to see people giving it a shot though.
Question/suggestion, the link generation always generates a new link apparently, and looks like the previous one gets disabled... It would be nicer if one could control this, as sometimes where you share things you don't want them to "not exist" in the future... and kind of work forever.
Also because if you refresh the page, the thing goes away, and you have to click on it to get to the battle link, invalidating the previous one.
You are always the first one to know :)
Lots of people looking at different things. And usually I like to be connected with different types of them to allow for a wide diversity of topics. Maybe I am developing some sort of ADHD lollolol...
Although there was plenty that "knew" (aka read his posts) before me, but did nothing other than... commented/upvoted. That leads to lower exploration/verifiability of the content.
My new process is that if I need to get back to things (because I don't have the time yet), I will put a bookmark or if the quality matches my standard, reblog, and then come back to it as soon as possible (within the 7 days period) in order to, either curate or if I did already adjust my curation.
Been working quite well. By the way, your "article" mode on X, was perfect! Still have to go back and check how those things kind of work out in terms of attention there.
I am very happy to know you and I will check out your other apps too.
I think that hivepredict will be very popular and I m glad to see that you read the comments below :)
how much do you win? say if there are more yes than no and the no side wins how does that work?
Great question. HivePredict is pool-based (parimutuel), not fixed odds. All YES + NO stakes go into one pool, then at resolution we take fees (currently 3% platform and 5% burn), and the remaining pool is split only by the winning side, in proportion to each winner’s effective stake.
So yes, if YES has more money but NO wins, the NO side shares that bigger pool. Example: YES = 90, NO = 30, total = 120. After fees, 110.4 is distributable, and NO bettors split that 110.4 by their share.
Thank you for that very detailed explanation 😍
