Sometimes the funniest pictures can contain a significant amount of drama but it is good that the picture does not give us an exact idea of ​​the ending of the depicted scene and we can fantasize about a good version of the development of events.

This thought came to me when I wanted to depict a jerboa jumping at full speed across the steppe.

On the one hand it is funny to watch how it looks at the moment of jumping but after all it does not do this aimlessly it is trying to escape from the piercing gaze of a bloodthirsty kite pursuing it on its heels.

The jerboa is trying so hard to escape from the kite that even the shadow of the jerboa lags significantly behind it.

I depicted this using a pencil with a graphite rod on paper.

It took me a while to understand how the jerboa would look in such a situation I had to make and cancel some decisions.

At one time I had many different rodents including a jerboa so I had an idea of ​​some of the features of its body.

Yes, the fact that I had hamsters chinchillas rabbits and guinea pigs also affected this lol.

But gradually the jerboa began to look like a jerboa.

When the jerboa was ready the world surrounding it appeared in the picture and the one that the jerboa would not want to see behind itself a kite.
