Peanut flan. Flan de maní [Eng/Esp].

Hello, my dear friends who love culinary delights. I hope you are all well today. On this occasion, I bring you a slightly unusual recipe that I have been preparing at home recently. Milk flan is one of the easiest and most delicious desserts to make, so I wanted to add an ingredient to this flan that I had never used before: peanuts. Yes, I used peanuts to give it a different and unique flavour, and I can tell you that the result was amazing. I'll show you how to make it in case you want to give it a try.
Hola mis queridos amigos amantes de las delicias culinarias, espero que se encuentren bien en el día de hoy. En esta ocasión les traigo una receta un poco peculiar que estuve preparando por estos días en casa. El flan de leche es uno de los postres más fáciles y deliciosos de hacer, por eso a este flan le quise añadir un ingrediente que no había usado nunca para su preparación, se trata del maní. Pues sí, utilicé maní para darle un sabor diferente y único y les cuento que el resultado fue asombroso. Enseguida les muestro como prepararlo por si quieren atreverse a realizarlo.
Ingredients//Ingredientes
1 cup milk/1 taza de leche
1 cup white sugar/1 taza de azúcar blanca
1 egg/1 huevo
1/2 cup peanuts/1/2 taza de maní
1 teaspoon vanilla/1 cucharadita de vainilla
6 tablespoons brown sugar (for the caramel)/6 cucharadas de azúcar morena (para el caramelo)

The first thing to do is make the caramel. Put brown sugar in the mould where the flan will be made and let it melt until it forms large bubbles or until it reaches the desired golden colour. Once it has reached this point, spread it throughout the mould and let it cool.
Lo primero que se realiza es el caramelo, ponemos azúcar morena en el molde en donde se va a realizar el flan y se deja diluir hasta que haga burbujas gordas o hasta que tome el color dorado que les guste. Una vez tenga este punto se esparce por todo el recipiente y se deja refrescar.

Now mix the milk, sugar, peanuts, vanilla and egg in a blender, then add it to the mould with the caramel.
Ahora se mezcla en la licuadora la leche, el azúcar, el maní, la vainilla y el huevo, para luego agregarlo al molde previamente acaramelado.


Place the mould in a saucepan with water, cover and cook for about 35 minutes in a bain-marie. You will know it is ready when you insert a knife and it comes out clean. Leave to cool for 1 or 2 hours and remove to a bowl.
En una olla con agua se pone el recipiente y se deja cocinar tapado unos 35 minutos en baño de maría. Sabremos que está listo cuando al introducir un cuchillo el mismo sale limpio. Se deja enfriar durante 1 o 2 horas y se saca en un recipiente.
