Indeed with all the thoughts going on in one's head, it can be difficult to be mindful of the moments we spend together with loved ones. But we have to do our best to enjoy every moment we spend with them because they aren't going to be with us forever. I think that lesson from your niece is timeless and it's good you learnt from it.
