Epic Week with Skatehive devs and a Little Time Travel in Rio

This week was a total rollercoaster of fun! 🎢 For those who don’t know, I’ve been on complete rest for over two months due to a shoulder injury (the doctor told me to rest! 🛌). But I started feeling a little better, so I decided to make the most of it and meet up with some friends from Skatehive who were in Rio. I went to the Lagoa skatepark, where I met up with Vlad, Carol, Dobler, and Webgnar! Of course, I showed up in flip-flops because I’m still not 100%, and the plan was not to skate, but my craving to skate was so strong that it totally got to me! Even in flip-flops and with my shoulder still messed up, I ended up trying some tricks and had so much fun! Afterward, I made plans to take Webgnar to experience the amazing nature of Rio 🌿

On the second day, I went to pick up Webgnar for our adventure, and guess what? Vaipraonde decided to join us! We explored several incredible places in the city: parts of Tijuca Forest, viewpoints, waterfalls, caves, Pedra Bonita, and we ended with a beautiful sunset at Joá! 😍 It’s impossible to describe how great it feels to be in places like that, with friends, enjoying Rio in all its glory 🌄

On the third day, it was a bit more chill since my shoulder was hurting again. We had a video game night, and of course, we couldn’t miss the classic Tony Hawk game (and other equally epic ones)! 🎮 The laughs were guaranteed, and the challenge just kept increasing. There was no way around it—fun was absolutely off the charts! And of course, the friendly competition was in full swing among friends.

On the fourth and final day, we went to Bambina to play pool, which wasn’t exactly “pool,” but it was pretty close 😂! We switched up the teams between everyone who was there—Webgnar, Keepkey, Vlad, Carol, and Rato. There was also the secret hat master! 👒 With their mysterious style, no one dared challenge them. We laughed the whole time! Before we said our goodbyes, we stopped at a gas station, and something hilarious happened. I, without realizing, had some old phone cards from the pool game in my pocket, and I asked the attendant if he accepted phone cards as payment (seriously, I went there 😂). He laughed and told me no, and when I asked, "What year is it?" he answered, “2025.” I just said, “Ah, I got the year wrong again, huh?” thanked him, and left, but I couldn’t stop wondering… did the guy at the gas station think we were time travelers? ⏳🕰️

Oh, and to top it all off, at the end of the day, the rain came down hard, flooding parts of the city. It was like the epic finale to the week, with everything happening at once—a truly complete experience! 🌧️
