I loved your honesty—especially since I’m at that same stage; I’m tired of hiding behind a mask. I want to be myself and not have to pretend I agree with someone just to avoid hurting them—only to end up hurting myself in the process. I’m fed up with pretending everything is fine when it really isn't.
I just want to be me—flaws and all—and shout: "This is who I am," anywhere, anytime. No more pretending.

Girl, I congratulate you because the first step is becoming aware that we use those masks. I swear many people go through life feeling a huge emptiness linked to exhaustion without knowing it's because of that. It's a victory to know yourself.
