Hello, my friends.

Today I'm not going to quote any intellectuals, but rather one of the movies from my teenage years: with great power comes great responsibility. However, I know I could put that power... my hive power, to good use.

The first reason is because I'm fascinated by the universe of possibilities that Hive offers. It's such a vast universe that I can't explore it because of my low voting power and all the financial needs I have to meet and can't invest in.

I would also put it to good use, just as my wife said (who really made me blush 😚, and not just once. Thank you, my beautiful witch), by generating income through investing in businesses both inside and outside of Hive.

Since money is worth more here in the Caribbean than in the North American and European hemispheres, with that voting power I could invest in fulfilling Elvira's dream of having her own coffee shop.

Of course, the payment could be made in Hive. That way, we could recoup the investment made and encourage the use of the platform and, perhaps (most likely), gain new users.
That same voting power would also come in handy for helping new users.

Helping is always there, not in my plans, but in my personality. Thanks to Hive, I was able to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Melissa, for example. The money was sent to these families in need. Therefore, I don't put it in my plans, because it's always there.
What I do plan is to have my own community, focused on general art topics, where artists can meet and talk about their art, their problems, their achievements, and so on.

I love art and I live and breathe it. My wife is an artist, our children are too, and I'm a writer. I would like to create a community where we can all find a place to talk and share about what we love: art.

That, in my opinion, would be a great use, if not the best, of those +35K of hive power.

Hola, amigas mías.

Hoy no voy a citar a ningún intelectual, sino a una de las películas de mi adolescencia: un gran poder conlleva a una gran responsabilidad. No obstante, yo sé que podría darle un buen uso a ese poder... de voto.

La primera razón es porque me fascina el universo de posibilidades que tiene Hive. Es un universo tan grande que no puedo explotar debido a mi bajo poder de voto y a todas las necesidades económicas que tengo que saciar y no puedo invertir.

También le daría un buen uso, tal y como dijo mi esposa (quien sí me sacó los colores 😚, y no una sola vez. Gracias, mi brujita hermosa), en generar ingresos en invertir en negocios tanto dentro como fuera de Hive.
Debido a que el dinero vale más aquí en el Caribe que en el hemiferio norte, americano y europeo, con ese poder de voto podría invertir en cumplir el sueño de Elvira de tener su propia cafetería.
Por supuesto, el pago podría ser en Hive. De ese modo, podríamos recuperar la inversión realizada y fomentaríamos el uso de la plataforma y, quizás (lo más probable) ganaríamos en nuevos usuarios.
Ese mismo poder de voto nos vendría bien, también, para ayudar a los nuevos usuarios.

Ayudar siempre está, no en mis planes, sino en mi personalidad. Gracias a Hive he podido recaudar dinero para los damnificados en el Huracán Melissa, por ejemplo. El dinero fue enviado a estas familias necesitadas. Por tanto, no lo pongo en mis planes, porque siempre está.
En mis planes sí está tener una comunidad propia, de temas generales sobre arte donde se reúnan los artistas y hablen de su arte, de sus problemas, de sus logros y demás.
Me gusta el arte y vivo en él. Mi mujer es artista, nuestros hijos también, yo soy escritor. Quisiera crear una comunidad donde todos encontremos un sitio donde hablar y compartir sobre lo que amamos: el arte.
Ese, a mi entender, sería un gran uso, sino el mejor a esos +35K de poder de voto.
