The gap between playing for free and spending Pizza is growing, but is that even a big deal? I don't think it will be in the long run since the gap is getting close to the point that they are (S) when in combat against most of us they will be at a disadvantage when attacking.

Sadly some stuff got in the way and my metal hit the cap before upgrading the metal storage, and my first attempt at attacking was an epic fail. Between those 2 events I dropped down quite a bit and almost fell out of the top 50. Now I am sitting around 30 doing my best to get back up to the top 10.

Splinterlands

Crazy progress here again, largely thanks to my guild leader with another massive sps delegation bringing it up to 50k!

My last Splinterlands post I was in Silver 3 with about 225 SPS staked.

Modern

I managed to use 100% of my available energy and have been hard charging my way up the rankings as fast as possible.

More cards that I use pretty often to upgrade with later! That also makes a level 2 Blackwood Wildelf this week.

This is my 1^st time in gold and, I don't foresee me getting packs to open anytime soon why not try some potions again.

A stack of 3 rares is nice, however I don't play any of these very often.

Guild Brawls

I am very pleased with 3 wins.

For Battle 1 it was Explosive Weaponry, Equalizer, and Keep Your Distance so I went for a card with Martyr in position 2 followed by someone with deflect to stop further damage if the tank holds. As per the current meta I used a healer and tried to use some snipe in the back for extra blast damage.

Battle 1

Battle 2 had the rule set of Trample and Heavy hitters so Grum Flameblade was the go to followed up with Chimney Wallstop. Since I wanted to capitalize on trample as much as possible Tenyii Striker with +1 from Tarsa.

Battle 2

Battle 3 had the rule set of Silenced Summoners so the lowest possible mana cost is best. The other 2 rules were Broken arrows and Counterspell, so the only choice to not slowly kill yourself is melee. With dragon as a choice my first thought was thorns and Djinn Chwala. For the rest of the team it was just pick decent support. I did not have any healers available so armor repair was a must. All I had left was low mana back line hitters to maybe pick off some of their damage or support.

This season I have been pulling chests just before brawls to try for some more Gladiator Cards. It has been working out pretty well I think.

Card Upgrades

Thanks to Renir (my guild leader), and the big card delegation he sent me I have a reason to upgrade cards to play this season. This is my progress so far.

Staked SPS

I am falling behind again on energy on and off currently but never at cap still. So the SPS growth has been way faster than I expected. Over the last few days here are the sps claims

I was really excited about this one, over 35 sps in 24 hours!

Ended up just shy of 40 for the day.

This was about 1.5 days for over 56 SPS

another couple days for 56 more SPS

1 day 50 SPS!

Just over a day for 45 SPS, and 500 total stake now!

Between the Guild Brawls and around 2.5 SPS per win I am up another 275 SPS staked. Then I have received a few easy tournament rewards of about 100 SPS and 350 DEC that will be used to play in more tournaments and maybe pick up some more cards soon.

Hive Account

The biggest takeaway I have for progressing a hive account is to be active in some of the different communities around hive, reply to posts, and read about what others are working on. You may find something that peaks your interest. So far I am getting more rewards for comments that attempt to add value to a post than any posts I have made so far. I think 1 Picture can sum this up well enough.
