Zagreb - the capital of my beautiful Croatia in color/1

Good morning dear Friends, good Monday to all of You, especially to Photography Lovers🙌📸

And today, with this post, we stay in Zagreb, the capital of my beautiful country, Croatia. Only, today it's a little different, today we're seeing Zagreb at night in color.

🇭🇷✨ King Tomislav Square – a place where history meets the beauty of Zagreb ✨🇭🇷

In the very center of Zagreb, in front of the magnificent Art Pavilion, lies King Tomislav Square – one of the most recognizable places in the Croatian capital. This spacious green area, often filled with walkers, tourists and various events, is named after the first Croatian king – King Tomislav.

This part of the city is truly magnificent, especially at night. I took the photos with my Nikon D750, on my way back from the opening of the photography exhibition I've already written about. This part of the city leads towards the Zagreb Main Train Station.

A little about history!

👑 Who was King Tomislav?
Tomislav was the first king of Croatia, crowned around 925. Under his leadership, Croatia became a strong and united state, recognized by the pope of the time and European rulers. His reign marks the beginning of the Croatian Kingdom and is one of the most important moments in the history of our country.

🗿 The monument to King Tomislav, located at the beginning of the square, is the work of sculptor Robert Frangeš Mihanović and was erected in 1947. The statue depicts the king on horseback, facing southwest with dignity, as the guardian of the city and its people.

🌿 Today, King Tomislav Square is an unmissable destination for anyone visiting Zagreb - whether you want to enjoy the view, take the perfect photo, or simply feel the spirit of history that still lives among the buildings and tree-lined avenues.

📍 If you can, put this wonderful city of ours, Zagreb, on your list of destinations - walk to "Tomislavac" and bow to the king who laid the foundations of Croatia as we know it today, I admire him every time I visit.

And wowwwwwww, how hard I tried for this post, I gave my best to describe this part of my country's history as beautifully as possible, but also this part of the city, which is truly amazing.

❤️ for my Croatia

See You Tomorrow!

You did well writing about your country's history and showing us the statue of king Tomislav. Croatia 🇭🇷 seems to have a rich history of the past worth honoring even though the past leaders with good impact are no more.

The night sky looks beautiful and nicely photographed.
