New Life to Old Bottles (My First DIY Crafting)
My brother loves soju, but he often leaves the empty bottles scattered around.
(Soju is the national drink of Korea, it is a clear, distilled alcoholic beverage and typically has an alcohol content ranging from 16% to 25%, making it stronger than beer but lighter than many spirits like vodka.)
I decided to surprise my brother by repurposing his old soju bottles into unique drinking glasses. I recently came across a creative idea that involves turning discarded bottles into stylish glassware, and I thought this would be a perfect surprise for him.
I searched for a bottle cutter on an online thrift shop for this exciting project and found this.

I purchased this bottle cutter to get started and was hoping that
This handy tool will help us easily and safely cut the bottles to create beautiful glasses.
Six days later, the bottle cutter finally arrived!
I quickly gathered all the necessary materials for the project: gloves, sandpaper, an electric kettle, and a basin filled with cold water and started right away.
I gently rotated the bottle towards me while applying consistent, light pressure against the cutting wheel. (I was excited and worried at the same time while doing this.)
I patiently waited for the water to come to a boil, and as soon as it reached the boiling point, I carefully dipped the bottle into the kettle. Then, I quickly plunged the bottle into the basin filled with cold water. (At this point, I could hear soft cracking sounds coming from the bottle.)
Again, I dipped the bottle into the kettle, and this time, the upper half came off effortlessly.
I repeated this process with the remaining bottles, but unfortunately, one of them broke, leaving me with just four intact bottles.
I felt a bit disappointed because, despite using sandpaper, the rims of the bottles weren't as smooth as I had hoped. Now I'm feeling hesitant to give these glasses to my brother, as I'm concerned they might pose a risk of injury. Instead, I'm considering repurposing them into candle holders.
Thank you for taking the time to read about my first DIY craft project!

They can make excellent candle holders. They could also be used as glasses as long as you sand and smooth the edges.
Wonderful idea.
Thanks! Will definitely make them into candle holders !BBH !LOLZ
