Day 2927 | Daytrip To Pa La-U Waterfalls & More

On Saturday I hired a private taxi for the day to make a trip to multiple locations with the Pa La-U Waterfalls as the main attraction of the day.

So we got up early already getting in the taxi for a 70+ minute drive toward the Kaen Krachan National Park to start with the watferfalls. There was some rain when we arrived but if anything, it made it more enjoyable as it cooled things down and provided a bit extra challenge on the hike. Our driver also had an umbrella which was nice.

Basically it is a hike up a mountain accross multiple wafterfalls with 5 different levels with part of it where you need to climb the rocks also crossing the river at the end with the need for some caution especially since it was wet. So it kind of felt like a challenge but at the same time it also never felt dangerous and it was a ton of fun!

We managed to go all the way to the top at level 5 and after a ton of 'instagram pictures' eventually started to make our way down again toward the taxi. Honestly, at some point the constant photo sessions at each new spot were a bit too much for me but at the same time I enjoy afterward the many pictures that we have.

Once back in the Taxi we drove to the Dao Cave which was something of a temple / Bat cave combined where there was quite a smell and also zero tourists aside from us on a Saturday.

There was also a golden statue outside

We first sat down to have something to eact and made our way up the stairs toward the game on top of the mountain.

The inside was something else that we had not seen before and it was a bit scary with many bats in the cave but also not the most pleasant with the smell so we did not stay all too long and also skipped on the next cave as it was similar with an even worse smell. So the taxi afterward brought us to the Monsoon Vineguard even though, neighter of us drink alchohol.

We first went to the restaurant to get something proper to eat and drink with a nice view and the fatigue kind of kicked in so we had a short rest somewhere with a really nice view over the vinegard skipping on actually taking a tour or doing any activity in the domain.

There was one more location to go to which was some kind of big Buddha Statue and a domain

It in a way also was an experience as it was quite a big domain but it kind of felt totally abandoned even though there were a lot of standand with souvenings and food.

So we just did a walk around the domain an headed back to the taxi tired who took us back to my condo after about 8.5 hours of being away in total. Once back, we took a shower and had a nap before going out to Baan Khun Por Food Court to have something to eat. That concluded a very active and fun Saturday with lots of different sights to see. It's also a good thing we went to the waterfalls on Saturday as they got closed on Sunday for too much rainfall and too dangerous.
Next Day Goals: Nothing yet was planned on Sunday so everything was open to be filled in. I will try to make a report on that tonight to fully catch up on the missed days.

Oh, you had such an invigorating adventure, a hike that keeps shifting in scenery and challenge, from waterfalls to rock climbs to a river crossing! Amazing!
Thanks, it was a fun but also exhausting day mainly because I woke up to watch the football in the middle of the night.
