Unusual Chill Out Mode(s)... .:. Walk & Talk Series

https://play.3speak.tv/embed?v=ph1102/have-no-idea-whats-happenin-537

Have no idea what's happening with the time, but I suspect it's running faster during the summer... Days (daylight) SHOULD be longer, but it looks like someone is stealing them! That's one of the reasons why I've published fewer posts recently... 😃

Unusual Chill Out Mode.jpg
Created in Canva.com, with my photo from a walk in the background

It's not that I have no topics to write/talk about, it's the time! Anyways, I got this one a few days ago when I caught myself doing something usual, but getting an unusual effect...

Long story short, we have different ways to cope with stress, pressure, and other life worries... Some go for a run, others for a walk, and some hit the gym to release the stress... Among these usual things to do, there are many ways people cope with stress... And they are unique to every person... Something works for one person, and something completely different works for someone else...

Check out the video for examples, and tell me in the comments section what works for you. How do you chill out when you are stressed? We are searching for "unique ways" as examples... 😃

Thank you for your time.

Usually i hide in a computer game to take my mind of of things , or i go watch a movie or tv serie from my large catalog on my NAS . Both have worked for me fine since my burn-out in 2008 , still not fully recoverd but we do make a lot of progress over the years .

Those are nice ways to disconnect... I remember enjoying computer games in the past, but it was another addiction to me... So, I try to stay away from them... lol... But, those were nice days... 😃

Usually I get some topic inspiration from looking at Web2. Right now is full of World Cup themes, and New York in the finals... sure all sports related stuff, but then I start thinking on the tech on sports and such. Then I have a big topic, like the impact of AI in sports this time around.

New walking path 🙂 (near the sea?)

A bottle of good beer helps me to relax, even if it's good company to talk to that will take my mind off the topic that's causing me stress, ideal.
I have a friend, she takes the opportunity and goes to games (football or basketball), where, when cheering for the team she's cheering for, she does it in the loudest way possible. She says, that's how she got rid of everything that was causing her restlessness in those days...

Hehehehe.. the photo is from one place, and the walking video is from another... but, both at the sea and not at home... 😃 I suppose that was my "disconnection" time... 😃

That's a very good idea! I had a friend who liked to go fishing, and if he was alone in the woods, he would scream to "release the stress" 😂 Poor animals...

Poor animals

Poor other campers and walkers in the woods. They might have thought that wolves or werewolves had appeared 🙂

Haha, you know you’re right. I’ve never really thought of those routine chores every family has to do as “chilling out.” But I think it’s a good idea to focus on a routine (which is beneficial in and of itself).
Otherwise, this might sound weird, but I was totally chill after an hour of cleaning the weeds around the caravan. 😂

Hehehe... It looks like you got a great relaxing dose, as it was a lot of work around the caravan!
Btw. I had a lot in my mind about buying a piece of land and maybe a similar one here, and vent out a bit in the outdoors! The only problem is that we have mostly olive trees here and no shade or other vegetation... I suppose being in a caravan during the day would be hell!

Actually, it’s hot outside, too. There’s nothing here either—not a single tree except for some reeds, which, if you water them, grow like crazy. I trimmed them last month, and now I’m doing it again. Well, I’m used to it. Back home, I’ve already mowed the grass in the orchard four times this year...it’s really hot in the trailer, but the AC is working 😎

We all experience stress in the fast-paced rhythm of our daily lives. I’ve always believed that there are always other ways out in life. In my opinion, to keep stress at bay, one must first stay calm and avoid getting upset. You’re right about time. I struggle with it too, but I make sure to set aside some time for myself, even if it’s just for an hour or two.

How do you cope with stress? Do you have any routine to lower the levels of stress? Walks, travelling, movies? Or cleaning the dishes like me? 😂

Good morning @ph, I have several ways to relax that depend on my stress level, how tired I am, and how much time I have.

I usually stop several times a day for a few seconds at some point and pay attention to my surroundings, my feelings, the way I walk... etc. I try to stop my automatic reactions and reconnect with myself.

If my stress level is high... and I have time, I stop, lie down, and listen to relaxing music.

If my stress level is high, I can't stop thinking, it's nighttime, and I have time, my best remedy for stress is to watch a movie to take my mind off things, like Terminator, Die Hard, The Bourne Ultimatum... or lately, Alita.

These are my stress-relief tips.

I hope you have a great Thursday.

Interesting... So, to relief youself of stress, you watch action movies?
Someone close to me listens to very loud, and intense music to battle against stress...

I try to do it with relaxing, ambient music... 😃

But everyone has their own method! 💪

Oh, the weekend is here... Beach time! 🏖 😂 The best for de-stressing! 😂

Good evening @ph, I don't doubt that the beach is a very relaxing place... and I hope you enjoyed it a lot today... but reading your post makes me more honest. When I study, I need to hear noise... whether it's the TV at high volume or some music (the non-relaxing kind)... and about action movies... I fall asleep just seeing Bruce Willis's or Schwarzenegger's face... 😅

I hope you enjoy a wonderful weekend.🤗

I think computer games are the best way to take my mind off of things. As I focus on something ingame, I can generally forget about the other things going on.

You are the second person mentioning computer games in the comment section! Maybe I should go back to playing some... It's definitely better than dishwashing... 😂

Lol ordering the room or clean when stressed is new to me... I don't know really because as a parent of a little kid if you are stressed you don't have many ways out, you can't leave him alone

Hmmm.. To leave alone, who? You kid, or your kid to leave YOU alone? 😂
My kid is now an adult (by years, not by acting 😃), but I always get reminded of the saying...
Small kids, small problems... Big kids, big problems... 😂

To leave alone the kid 🤣

Oh man that's so true... When he was little I tought like "should be easier when he grows, can tell you what's up, does things independently", Jesus it's way worse now not easier lol

Beautiful place, wow. I think I mostly just like doing the dishes. I like the feeling of keeping the kitchen sparkling clean, sometimes my wife doesn't understand the obsession I have with just doing the dishes.

Do you use canva free, is the premium?

Oh, so your wife has to be happy with your obsession... At least, she doesn't have to deal with the messy kitchen... 😂

I'm sharing a Canva team subscription with a few more people, so it comes out relatively cheap... But, most of the things for which I'm using it are possible to be done with the free version...
