What is good folks.
So, remember a minute ago when the rumor mill was absolutely on fire regarding Gemini 3? Before it actually dropped for the plebs, there was this massive story circulating that people with early access were getting it to straight up clone Windows and OSX. Like, just straight up recreating operating systems from memory or whatever.
I ain't gonna lie, that gave me a lot of hope. I’m always looking for ways to streamline my dev work, whether it’s tweaking the DUO token stuff, messing with my visualizer project, or just managing my personal nodes. If a bot can clone an OS, surely it can handle my messy Python scripts without choking, right?
Well, it’s been released now and yeah... that was clearly fake news.

We aren't there yet. Not even close. It feels like every time a new model drops, the marketing implies it's basically god in a box, but then you try to get it to write a complex Node.js function and it forgets what libraries it impoted three lines ago. There is still a lot more work needed to make these models truly capable of coding at a high level.
Don't get me wrong, I use 'em. They can do a lot but it still takes a massive amount of effort to get AI to make you good code. Meaningful code. Secure code.
Sometimes what you're asking for is just too much for what we have right now. You ask for a full architecture and it gives you a hello world with some comments. You still gotta know what you’re doing. The dream of "text-to-software" without needing to understand the logic yourself is still a pipe dream, eh?
Keep stacking skills, cuz the AI ain't gonna save you from the grind just yet.
