Giftcard gone wrong on vals Day

with Val in few days to come a lot of love stories in the air, it's a season of love and truth is love is a beautiful thing and worth celebrating, it's thing that bonds us as humans and makes us appreciate life and living more especially when we have the gift of some very rare people around us we need to let them know we care and appreciate them well enough.

i didn't really give this val stuff much of my attention, well I never believed much in what it is about, I feel it's just something people create out of the blue and choose to hold unto it, till I decided to do some background checks about it tho.

well? for me one of the most hilarious or rather foolish I think I did trying to give this a try was during high school, there was a lady I was crushing on, we actually became friends and started talking but then I was just naive and young about the love thing just playing along anyways.

then it was vals day and since I was into her I wanted to prove my it, so I went to this gift shop scanned through various cards with wonderful inscription, finally got one with this amazing write up that fits perfectly, boom here we go, got it paid and was off.

the next day was val day and it fell on a school day, did my very best to look nice and smart everything ironed and polished wore my best smiles waited patiently till school over made sure I stayed cool so I don't mess my steeze up.

waited somewhere to escort her going home then I joined the company, all along I never made mentioned of the gift card with me, the plan was when she's about going off to her apartment I'll get it out of my bag give it to her and bid her good bye. so that without asking much question she take it home read it and by the next day in school gives me a feed back.

but NO, life had other plans for me, just when we got close to her street, about bringing out the gift card to her, boom her uncle just approached us and she greeted him and waved me good bye, the uncle was still there I had to wave back and moved on ....

I was so pained I branched somewhere tore the gift card in pieces, I mean what's the point now, I felt so bad and never told her about it till we parted ways
