3 Tips For Mind Blowing Engagement

I had huge plans for last night....
The plan was to record a bible review, get it uploaded to YouTube first and then bring it over to 3speak on chain. I had it all planned out. The kids were in their room being as quiet as two brothers could be. My wife was reading in bed. The dogs were sleeping...
Quiet! So I started recording...It got frustrating a few times, and I had to do some pretty big edits but at the end of the night...I had my video recorded. Perfect...
When I went to upload the video to YouTube I got a 'file corrupted' warning. Huh? So I had a look at my video that I just spent the entire evening on...And it was gone lol
Safe to say, I was a little bummed out. So last night, I called it quits and went to bed lol
This morning I decided to spend some time on @snapie, because over the past week I've been absolutely addicted to using the mobile app. And I came across this comment from @mdakash62 on my feed....

This got me thinking, as you can see from my reply...
Soapbox time!!!
So yeah, I've been preaching this message since day one here in chain. And why I'm so pumped up for a mobile app like Snapie. You see, the trick to engagement on any platform has many factors but here's the things we can control on chain right now, using things like Snapie...
Make people feel valued!
It's that simple. And here are some strategies on how you can do that...
1. Respond to every comment! You will be blown away at how that makes people feel. I remember when I first started creating on chain, I did what any noob would do. I watched, listened but then started replying to the creators I was following. All the time! Only a handful actually replied to me. Those that did, confirmed my belief in the community so I've stuck around for 8 years now lol
2. Upvote every comment! Going back to when I was new, not only did I really appreciate a reply from the creator of the post, but when I saw a vote or two, it REALLY fired me up. And I'm not suggesting that you give people a 100% vote, but a small vote to show you appreciate their time goes a long way. Don't worry so much about how much the vote is worth, by just voting it you show the person that you appreciate their time. It goes a long way!!
3. Engage with different people! I need to take my own advice for this one lol But there are some great people here. It's really what has kept me on chain for all these years. So get out there, and engage with a few new people today. Thankfully, apps like Snapie make this so easy to do.
I created this graphic when I was working heavily on InLeo. These points can be used for any front end app here on chain, so perhaps you can adapt this for your time in Waves, Snaps or Snapie as well...

The idea is to be as active with other users and engage with the platform each and every day! Look, we can't control whether or not the masses come here and adopt our apps. We can't influence the price of Hive or LEO or any layer 2 token as much as we'd like to think we can...
But what we can do, is USE THE APPS right now, in front of us. Talk about there everywhere you go, and support the people actually rolling up their sleeves and putting in effort here on chain.
I still maintain, the power of this blockchain is the people. The community is what matters here and if we spend time remembering that, engagement will come naturally. But we have to put in the work now!
Posted Using INLEO
Yeah,I quite agree with you last paragraph @jongolson,we have to actually put in the work.Great insight!
Yup, doesnt take much effort, but it does take some.
Upvoting comments, even just a little, shows that you care about your audience's thoughts. It is all about making people feel valued and appreciated, definitely something I will be implementing more ;)
Exactly. And it doesn't have to be a full vote. Just enough to say thanks. It keeps people coming back
All of those are great things to do, and I agree that you want to keep some engagement with others. Hive is more of a social blockchain, and I think those steps work.
Responding to every comment is one of those ways to grow your presence and as you said, only few care about this. Overtime, I have found out those that love responding in which you are one and I like sticking around to have a both end conversation.
