Last month of YouTube shorts are we getting anyway with this

So for the last month i have been doing this idea of doing a shorts/TikTok video regarding my afternoon/evening walk with the dogs

The videos started with a simple question

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/RzOwUZ0yXjs

This started as a funny coincidence as we noticed that the toilets down at padiham memorial park is open/closed at random intervals which makes sense due to the park managed by a team of volunteers so i thought it would be a funny little record to keep going and see if a pattern emerged and it didn't really emerge at all but it kept me and my wife entertained with the little things the dogs did on the walks

after a while it just didn't seem to be right talking about a toilet being opened so we decided to try something else and what i discovered was every day has a sort of national day thing attached to it, some days have big things that are celebrated as a full on holiday and other days it could be as simple as paperclip day, which i thought was a lot more nicer and friendly for all audiences and this seems to be hitting a much happier note to all

and with this we talk about the national days with my wife adding her commentary to the mix as well and we also show off our beautiful dogs hence the tagline #jetthedog and #raventhedog

and this seems a lot less clingy and more view attracting as on YouTube shorts it tends to gather more likes and views

but after a month what are the results

Daily pic 1.png

well i have about 10k view in a month and 5 addition new subs but im still short of even 100 subs and my target is 1000 in order to monetize the content i produce here so it still a long way to go,

but i figure that it is that it gonna be a long game to play with this rather then expecting it quickly and maybe one day i have a boost of followers in one video so the grind is here and will be in it for the long haul :)

Still what do you think of this please let me know in the comments below :)

Those random talks might just be all you need to find the spark sometimes, hehe.

Those dogs aren’t smiling, lol.

Trust me they were happy as one enjoys the ball and the other just wants attention :)

That sounds like such a fun and creative way to document your daily walks with the dogs! Turning random toilet observations into celebrating quirky national days was a brilliant pivot—much more wholesome and engaging. The dogs are clearly the stars of the show (as they should be!).

Growing an audience can definitely feel like a slow grind, but consistency and enjoying the process is key. Who knows, maybe one of those national days will go viral and bring in that follower boost! Keep at it—you’re building something lovely. The internet needs more happy, dog-filled content.
