This is a weekly overview of my personal sports betting/trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League, documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.

Week 2 turned out to be a showcase of how much of a rollercoaster betting can be, and how just a few details going right or wrong can have quite a big impact on the overall results in the season. While everything in the end regresses to the mean, the cases when there is a larger position or a jackpot spot are quite rare. This week I had one of those taking both Zulte to win by 2+ goals @ 4.8+ odds and Zulte to score Over 1.25 goals. Since I had limited exposure with the match staying 0-0 for some time I increased on the FT over and at a 1-2 score late in favor of Zulte-Waregem it was a likely collapse all or nothing situation for Dender so I managed to add quite some to The Zulte-Waregem +0 line at 1.80 odds which was totally off, along with the over 3.5 which gave a limited loss in case it stayed 1-2 or became 2-2 but quite the big +1.245 units profit in case Zulte-made the 1-3 with well over 10+ minutes left including extra time.

5 Minutes before the end, Zulte-Waregem got a penalty for a golden opportunity to get the win in. I'm not sure what it is but in these cases when a big win depends on it, you knind of know they are going to miss it and sure enough it was saved. However, the goalkeeper was to soon off his line (which was a questionable call from the VAR as it was really close) and the penalty had to be taken over. At this point I felt like it's unlikely for the 2nd also to be missed but sure enough it was saved again in the same corner.

This was the 2nd time this season where I kind of got screwed by Zulte-Waregem creating a big swing but I just take it for what it is and I'm glad that in both these cases I had a big edge on the market. So I will need to try to get myself in more of these jackpot spots to eventually start hitting them.

Pre-Game Preview Bets Season 2025-2026

I had 1 suggested bet on Club Brugge 1st Half which ended up as a fair loser even though Brugge managed to win the match in the end still. With 7 losing bets from the last 10 I now also lost most of the profit I was in but I'm still up 2.10% ROI on these bets. I will have at least 1 suggested bet next weekend which I'm quite confident on so I hope that will push things back in the right direction.

I did drop into the negative again but an overall positive Sunday got me back near the expected pink profit line. There are 8 weeks left in the season and I'm hoping to get some good momentum to finish things off. Overall the combined ROI shows similar numbers compared to the previous seasons which gives a realistic picture on the betting market and what it takes to beat it.

Still a good ROI and that's what really matters, to stay in the green. Related to betting I like the math and probabilities that can be somehow deducted...

In the end, a lot comes down to discipline and some basic logic to be profitable which most people lack. At the same time, really crushing this market remains a big challenge which keeps it all fun.
