#MyHiveGoals week #9: HP/HBD statuses in the second week of March. Unexpected entry into the second hive layer [Eng/Esp]
Happy start to the week, dear community! The dry season in Caracas has arrived, and you can see it in three things: first, the Araguaney trees and many ornamental plants, like the orchid I'm showing you in the photo, are beginning to bloom; second, that intense blue sky characteristic of the tropics, which seems to give us the impression of perpetual summer; and finally, the heat that's already starting. In fact, I've had to give my plants more frequent maintenance so they don't dehydrate! So, we begin the month of March, friends. I estimate that this season will extend beyond September, I think into October. Every year they seem to get longer; I suppose climate change has a lot to do with it. This is how the first days of March are going. With the exception of January, February, and this first week, they've passed too quickly for me, and I still haven't finished certain pending things at the university, so these next two weeks are crucial for me. What I haven't stopped working on is our progress on Hive. We continue to meet goals and have already published for 67 consecutive days. We are building the path for our third year of publishing, and I hope everything flows smoothly and we can achieve this goal.

Let's start with Hive's performance. This week, we dropped from $0.066 to $0.0624 in just one week. Frankly, I'm not very optimistic about seeing a price recovery. I'm even starting to think we'll reach $0.05 by the end of March. There's too much uncertainty in the crypto market, and all this geopolitical chaos we're experiencing suggests that this bear market is going to be quite long.
Hive/HP
Now, the big advantage of a low Hive is that the HP we'll earn from posts will increase because we'll now receive liquid Hive that we can use to power up our positions. In my case, we're already at 8746 HP, and I remember quite well that we started these #MyHiveGoals 2026 reports with 7769 HP, so we achieved these first 1000 HP in about 2 months. If we keep up the pace, we can reach our goal of 12000 HP for this year.
If it weren't for the major economic turmoil in my country, I'd be funding my wallet with at least $30 to $45, but so far the only way to convert our local currency to USDT and thus buy Hive is through Binance. But as I said before, the currency devaluation is so severe that as soon as we receive our salary, we have to spend it immediately. That's right, friends, even though we're an oil-producing country and the price of a barrel is already over $100, only this new kind of "oil elite" that now governs us will keep all the wealth; we salaried workers won't see a single cent. That's why Hive is my refuge, and for now I'm continuing to grow my account. I just hope there will be some exchange rate stability that will allow us to save part of our salary in the form of Hive/HP.

HBD Savings
Now, let's talk about our HBD savings. I want to start with the interest on the HBD I have locked up. It generated almost 26 HBD, which we added to our savings fund. As for our rewards last week, we earned almost 6 HBD. Last week, I was busy with my university work and wasn't very active on the blockchain, and this week might be the same.
We are now less than 2 HBD away from 1900 HBD, and we started the year 2026 with a blocked amount of 1767 HBD. So in these past 2 months we have generated about 131 HBD between rewards and monthly interest. I think this is a good rate of HBD generated. If we maintain this rate, it is possible that by the end of the year we will be adding about 700 to almost 800 HBD to our savings through this method.
2nd Layer Token: Splinter Shards (SPS)
Splinterlands is a TCG focused on competitive PvP gameplay and has been around since 2018. I've been playing it since late 2020, but with the decline of Hive, this #play2earn game has become quite an attractive option if you want to generate some profit. With each win, you earn the game's governance token, Splinter Shards (SPS). When you win them, they're locked, so the entire unlocking process takes four weeks. However, staking a good amount of these tokens generates a significant amount of liquid SPS, which you can use to buy in-game assets or, better yet, withdraw them to the Hive Engine and exchange them for Hive or another layer token.
So far I have 30,700 SPs. I've had much more in the past, but I've unlocked some of them to reinvest in other layers of the game, such as virtual plots. These are simply a resource management system that will eventually help us craft items within the main game. In short, it's another way to generate more second-layer tokens, which have real-world value in the game. I'll go into more detail about these in another post. For now, I just want to mention that this is another way to earn money in Hive, and now that it's free-to-play, it's easier for everyone to access.
Well, friends, this was my 9th week in #MyHiveGoals. We're making steady progress toward our goals for 2026: 1,200 HP and 2,400 HBD. If Hive's low price holds, we'll likely reach our HP goal first. The real challenge, however, is reaching HBD, though it all depends on whether I can overcome this Weimar Republic-style economic phase in the medium term, convert part of my salary to crypto, and transfer it to my Hive wallet. Feliz inicio de semana apreciada comunidad! La temporada seca en Caracas ya llegó y se puede ver en 3 cosas, la primera es que comienzan a florear los Araguaney y muchas plantas ornamentales como la orquídea que te muestro en la foto, la segunda es ese intenso cielo azul característico del trópico que parece darnos la impresión de un verano perpetuo y por último el calor que ya esta empezando hacer. De hecho, he tenido que darle un mantenimiento más frecuentes a mis plantas para que no se deshidraten! Así comenzamos el mes de marzo amigos, estimo que esta temporada se extenderá hasta más allá de septiembre, creo que hasta octubre, cada año parecen ser más largos supongo que mucho tiene que ver el cambio climático. Así están los primeros días de marzo, con excepción de enero, febrero y esta primera semana han pasado demasiado rápidos para mi y todavía no culmino ciertas cosas pendientes en la universidad, por lo que estas 2 semanas que vienen son cruciales para mi. Lo que si no he dejado de labrar es nuestro progreso en Hive, continuamos cumpliendo metas y ya tenemos 67 días publicando consecutivamente, vamos construyendo el camino para el 3er año seguido publicando, espero que todo fluya y podamos cumplir esta meta.

Comencemos por el comportamiento de Hive, esta semana bajamos de 0,066$ a 0,0624$ en una semana, la verdad es que no soy muy optimista de ver una revalorización del precio, incluso estoy comenzando a converncerme que llegaremos a los 0,05$ a finales de este mes de marzo. Hay demasiada incertidumbre en el mercado cripto y todo este caos geopolítico que estamos atravesando esta dando a entender que este mercado bajista va a ser bastante largo.

Ahora bien, la gran ventaja de un Hive bajo es que el Hp que obtendremos por las publicaciones se va a incrementar porque ahora recibiremos hive líquidos que podremos usar para mantenernos haciendo power up. En mi caso ya estamos en 8746 HP y recuerdo bastante bien que habíamos empezado estos reportes de #MyHiveGoals del 2026 con 7769 de HP así que logramos estos primeros 1000 HP en mas o menos 2 meses, si mantenemos el ritmo podremos alcanzar nuestra meta de 12000 HP para este año.
Si no fuera por la gran turbulencia económica en mi país, estaría fondeando mi billetera con al menos 30 a 45$ pero hasta ahora la única forma de pasar nuestra moneda local a USDT y así comprar Hive es mediante Binance, pero como dije antes es tan fuerte la devaluación de la moneda que apenas recibimos nuestro salario tenemos que ir inmediatamente a gastarlo. Así es amigos, por más que seamos un país petrolero y el precio del barril ya este sobre los 100$, solo esta especie de nueva "elite petrolera" que ahora nos gobierna, se quedarán con toda la riqueza, los asalariados no veremos ni un centavo. Por eso Hive es mi refugio y por ahora sigo cultivando mi cuenta, solo espero que haya algo de estabilidad cambiaria que nos permita ahorrar parte de nuestro salario bajo la forma de Hive/HP.

Ahorros en HBD
Pasamos ahora a nuestros ahorro en HBD, quiero empezar por los intereses de los HBD que tengo bloqueados, me generaron casi 26 HBD que sumamos a nuestro fondo de ahorros. Mientras que de nuestras recompensas de la semana pasada obtuvimos casi 6 HBD, la semana pasada estuve atendiendo mi trabajo en la universidad y casi no estuve muy activo en la blockchain y es posible que esta semana sea igual.
Quedamos entonces a menos de 2 HBD de los 1900 HBD, y comenzamos el año 2026 con una cantidad bloqueada de 1767 HBD por lo que en estos 2 meses que han pasado generamos unos 131 HBD entre las recompensas y los intereses mensuales, me parece un buen ritmo de HBD generados, si mantenemos este ritmo es posible que a final de año estemos sumando unos 700 a casi 800 HBD a nuestros ahorros por esta vía.
Token de 2da capa Splinter Shards (SPS)
Splinterlands es un TGC perfilado al juego competitivo pvp y existe desde el 2018. Yo lo juego desde finales de 2020, pero actualmente con la caída de Hive, este juego #play2earn se ha convertido en una opción bastante atractiva si quieres generar algún beneficio. Con cada victoria ganas el token de gobernanza del juego que es Splinter Shards o SPS, cuando los ganas están en forma bloqueada, por lo que toma 4 semanas el proceso completo de desbloqueo. Pero mantener una buena cantidad de estos tokens en staking te genera una importante cantidad de Sps líquidos que puedes usar para comprar activos del juego o mejor, sacarlos a Hive Engine y cambiarlos a Hive u otro token de segunda capa.
Hasta ahora tengo 30700 Sps, he llegado a tener mucho más pero he desbloqueado una parte de ellos para reinvertir en otras capas del juego como lo son las parcelas virtuales que no son más que una forma de juego de gestión de recursos que eventualmente nos ayudarán a craftear objetos dentro del juego principal, pero en resumen es otra forma de juego que nos genera más tokens de segunda capa que tienen un valor real dentro del juego, pero en otra publicación me extenderé a detallarlos. por ahora solo quiero comentarles que esta es otra forma de ingresos dentro de hive y ahora que puede jugarse free to play su acceso se hace más sencillos para cualquiera.
Bien amigos, este fue mi 9na semana en #MyHiveGoals, vamos a paso firme con nuestras metas para este 2026: 1200 de HP y 2400 HBD. Si el precio bajo de Hive se mantiene es muy probable que lleguemos primero a nuestra meta de HP, la que si es un verdadero desafío son los HBD, aunque todo depende de si puedo en el mediano plazo, superar esta fase de economía de República de Weimar pasar parte de mi salario a cripto y pasarlo a mi billetera de Hive.
