Weekly Hive Savings Update - 20/08/2024

Hello Hive Community!

It's that time of the week again—time for another update on my Hive savings journey. This past week has been a bit different as I shifted my focus more towards coding and development. However, I've still made some progress in other areas, and I’m excited to share what I’ve been working on.

My Hive Goals

  • Hive Power Target: 7500 HP
  • HBD Target: 1500 HBD

Current Status

Hive Power Progress

  • Current Hive Power: 6621 HP
  • To Go: 879 HP

Despite being less active with posting and interacting this week, I’ve still managed to increase my Hive Power from 6529 HP to 6621 HP. It’s a steady climb, and I’m getting closer to my goal.

HBD (Hive-Backed Dollars) Progress

  • Current HBD Saved: 1143 HBD
  • To Go: 357 HBD

My HBD savings have also seen a modest increase from 1137 HBD to 1143 HBD. Every little bit helps as I continue to work towards that 1500 HBD target.

Weekly Progress (as of 20/08/2024)

  1. Total Hive Power:

    • Current: 6621 HP (up from 6529 HP on 12/08/2024)

  2. Delegated Hive Power:

    • Current: 4514 HP (slightly up from 4510 HP on 12/08/2024)

  3. Liquid Hive:

    • Current: 495 Hive (down from 664 Hive on 12/08/2024)

  4. HBD (Saved):

    • Current: 1143 HBD (up from 1137 HBD on 12/08/2024)

Recent Activities

  • Development Work - !INDEED and !HOPE: My focus this week has been primarily on coding, especially on expanding the tipping token ecosystem. In addition to the !INDEED token, I’ve been working on a new token called !HOPE, which I’ve developed together with @tydynrain. The idea behind !HOPE is to spread positivity and hope across the Hive blockchain, and you can start spreading !HOPE from the very first token you own!
  • Increasing Activity: Although I’ve been less active with posting and interacting this past week, I plan to ramp up my activity and posting frequency in the coming days.
  • Curation Rewards: Unfortunately, my tests to boost curation rewards haven’t been as successful as I’d hoped. I’ll keep experimenting, but for now, the results are modest.
  • Diesel Pools & Income Tokens: I’ve continued to add small portions to the Diesel pools and grow my holdings in income tokens such as EDS, DRIP, and DUO. It’s a gradual process, but it’s helping diversify my Hive-related income.

Action Items

  1. Boost Activity & Posting: I’m aiming to increase my activity level and posting frequency this week to engage more with the community.
  2. Continue Development Work: I’ll keep working on !HOPE and other ongoing projects to bring more value to the Hive ecosystem.
  3. Review Curation Strategies: I’ll revisit my curation strategies to see if there’s a better approach to maximizing rewards.

The second tier currently is owning 100 HOP, which allows for 5 tips.
But the tipping tiers are still under construction at the moment.

With that requirement, it looks like holding more or less 1,000 HOP tokens is required to tip HOP 10 times a day. 🤔🤯😅

Currently, 500HOP would give you 10 tips, 1000HOP would give you 25 tips. But as I said, we're still working on the tiers.

Do you mean that you and @tydynrain have already decided that having 500 HOP tokens will allow tipping the token 10 times a day and 1,000 HOP for 25 times a day, but you just haven't implemented it yet on the bot? 🤔🤯🤓

We haven’t decided yet, and those nrs are the current implementation.
The bot hasn’t been officialized yet either.

In other words, "having 500 HOP tokens will allow tipping the token 10 times a day and 1,000 HOP 25 times a day" is already in effect, but is not final and official so it would be changed after some time. 🤯🤓

“Could”, not “Would”
I have the impression that the latest version of !INDEEDS tipping tiers are very well appreciated by the users. So currently we’re using that as the base, but with adapting the lowest tier to 1 for 1, to allow for spreading !HOPE over the world more easily.

Since you already changed the HOP bot's code such that 1 HOP is already enough to tip the token once a day, maybe you can just add one (tiny) change where !HOP is a valid substitute to the !HOPE command. 🤗😅

Things have been pretty insane lately !INDEED :-) At the same time that there's a lot going on with the kids and other generic life stuff, the stress and work at the office have tripled in a few weeks time :-D

It's so curious those waves of sickness that pass through groups and families. We all accepted for a long time that such things were viruses, but knowing what I know now, I'm not so sure anymore. Something else is occurring. When I lived on the mainland, I would get sick like everyone else, usually once or twice at each seasonal transition point, but since coming here, and living in the jungle for so long, nothing bothers me anymore, and yet people, especially those from outside the community, still do continue to get sick. It's so fascinating to me. May it pass quickly! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

I do notice the same, the more I’m out and about in nature, walking in the forests and around the lakes and such, I get remarkably less sick.
And still… There’s much more to it, our food is also optimized FOR illness, not against…

I checked who downvoted, and it was 3 high-levels that didn't like the ZOMBIE tip reply. I left a comment on one of their posts. They didn't downvote any other bot call, so I'm thinking that they somehow found it to be in bad taste, or something like that. I'm not really sure what to do about this yet. Well, presently I only write my Daily Off-Grid Jungle Journal Entry, my Sunday Weekly Hive Goals and Progress Update, my HPUD, my Shadow Hunters Contest entry, and my Reflection Hunters Contest entry posts. The first and second take maybe two or so hours, the third takes about an hour, and the last two take about half an hour. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
