Frank's House Museum // La Casa museo de Frank

Hello, hello, travelers.

These days I visited for the first time the house museum of Frank País, one of the heroes of Cuba, known for his charisma and courage, one of those few martyrs whose memory remains intact.

It's been a week since I participated in a pastry workshop in the center of my city, the first time we went (my brother and I) my brother told me that Frank's house museum was nearby and that we could walk those streets and get to know a little more of those places. I had never walked through the streets where the workshop is held, I knew they existed but already.

I got ready to visit the house on Tuesday, I didn't even wait for my brother, he had already spoiled me and I needed to get to know him now. The facade is simple, and makes it clear that there is a lot of history to know there.

I got in with a college ticket. There was no current, they were not giving the guided explanation and I had to say that I was studying so that I could do the guide alone.

Since you enter you are already being part of the house museum as such, there is only one chair with a tiny table for the person in charge and she herself told me that Atlas administrative offices are located in front.

The first room was definitely the living room of the house, it has very nice furniture, which is preserved very well with some photographs. The lamp in that installation is 10/10.

On the left hand side in the same installation explanatory murals, photos, recognitions are exhibited.

The second installation is the dining room accompanied by a matching shelf.

Then, the rooms come; that of Frank and his brother: Joshua. Currently the museum keeps some personal objects such as beds, clothes, books, but everything else is there with the aim of situating the visitor and beautifying the installation; example: refractors, light bulbs, murals.

The other instance is below but does not communicate internally, you have to go out to the hallway to gain access.

The kitchen follows, I must confess that I liked it, something has particular that caught my attention a lot. There is a display case with some vessels that are preserved. Some carderos are shown there and even a steep strainer like the ones on the mountain for coffee.

Following the corridor, you will find, the bathroom, a laundry room and the Latrine, in that order. These rooms are smaller, but just as comfortable.

To continue with the tour you have to go back out to the corridor and return. There are good views there. The sky was too beautiful and complemented the visit.

The garden was not so bad, but not very good either let's say. Something to keep in mind is that we were recently hit by a hurricane from which we have not yet recovered so it is justified. 7/10.

There are two installations that, although they remain at the beginning of the house museum, are left until the end because they are set with childhood and another with the death of Frank País. They are left until the end for a guide and explanation topic for the visit. Both installations are just as curious as the whole museum.

This painting caught my attention a lot, it looks amazing.

The house museum is very interesting, I can't say it's the best one I've visited but obviously it has its own thing. He deserves an 8/10.

Holaaaaaa Holaaaa viajeros.

En estos días visité por primera vez la casa museo de Frank País, uno de los héroes de Cuba, conocido por su carisma y valentía, de esos pocos mártires que su memoria permanece intacta.

Hace una semana que participo en un taller de Repostería en el centro de mi ciudad, la primera vez que fuimos (mi hermano y yo) mi hermano me comenta que la casa museo de Frank quedaba cerca y que podíamos recorrer esas calles y así conocer un poco más de esos lares. Nunca había caminado por las calles donde se imparte el taller, sabía que existían pero ya.

Me dispuse a visitar la casa el martes, ni esperé a mi hermano, ya el me había spoileado y necesitaba conocer ya. La fachada es sencilla, e deja claro qué allí hay mucha historia por conocer.

Entré con un boleto de universitaria. No había corriente, no estaban dando la explicación guiada y tuve que decir que estudiaba para que hacer el guíaje sola.

Desde que entras ya estás siendo parte de la casa museo como tal, solo hay una silla con una mesa diminuta para la responsable y ella misma me comentó que Atlas oficinas administrativas se encuentran al frente.

La primera sala era sin duda la salita de estar de la casa, tiene muebles muy bonitos, que se conservan muy bien con algunas fotografías. La lámpara de esa instalación está 10/10.

A mano izquierda en la misma instalación se exhiben murales explicativos, fotos, reconocimientos.

La segunda instalación es el comedor acompañado de un estante a juego.

Luego, vienen los cuartos; el de Frank y su hermano: Josué. Actualmente el museo conserva algunos objetos personales como camas, ropa, libros, pero todo lo demás están allí con el objetivo de situar al visitante y embellecer la instalación; ejemplo: refractores, bombillos, murales.

La otra instancia queda a continuación pero no se comunica de forma interna, hay que salir al pasillo para poder acceder.

Le sigue la cocina, debo confesar que me gustó, algo tiene particular que me llamó mucho la atención. Hay una vitrina con algunas vasijas que se conservan. Allí se muestran algunos carderos y hasta un colador empinado como los del monte para café.

Siguiendo el pasillo, se encuentra, el baño, un lavadero y la Letrina, en ese orden. Estas habitaciones más pequeñitas, pero igual de confortables.

Para continuar con el recorrido hay que volver a salir al pasillo y retornar. Allí se tienen buenas vistas. El cielo estaba demasiado hermoso y complementaba la visita.

El jardín no estaba tan mal, pero tampoco muy bien que digamos. Algo a tener en cuenta es que hace poco nos azotó un huracán del cual aún no nos recuperamos así que tiene justificación. 7/10.

Hay dos instalaciones que aunque quedan al inicio de la casa museo se dejan para el final porque están ambientadas con la infancia y otro con la muerte de Frank País. Se dejan para el final por un tema de guía y explicación para la visita. Ambas instalaciones igual de curiosas como todo el museo.

Esta pintura me llamó mucho la atención, está increíble.

La casa museo es muy interesante, no puedo decir que es la mejor que he visitado pero obviamente tiene lo suyo. Se merece un 8/10.
