Australia - The Amazing Twelve Apostles

IMG_4387.JPG>

Hello there!

Having completed my earlier travel posts on several interesting countries and regions, including Japan, Maldives, Indonesia, US, Europe and the latest one being New Zealand, it's time to fly over to Australia!

Australia is a country that I have been to twice in my life. The first time was to Sydney in 2009, and the second time was to Melbourne in 2011. And I realised that's 14 years since I was last there! Anyway, time to relive those moments as I share the sights and sounds of my experience!

Here are the posts so far:

I was super excited for this day because it was the highlight of my trip to Melbourne. While there were many interesting activities and experiences, I had always wanted to see The Twelve Apostles! The Twelve Apostles was not the most convenient attraction to get to because one would need to rent a car and get through hours or even days of driving along the Great Ocean Road to reach there. And that was what we did. And after a few days of driving, we reached the viewing point of the Tweleve Apostles!

Throughout the journey, we also got to enjoy the scenery of the coastlines as well! Because The Great Ocean Road was mostly along the ocean, but I have to say, there were times where I got really giddy from all the twists and turns. Fortunately, I had friends who were great drivers!

Here we go!

After parking our car, we made our way by foot as we headed towards the ocean.

A warning sign for the visitors!

And when we finally reached, I was simply lost for words. It was like a dream come true. It was really like what I imagined it to be! And the ambience felt so right - the gusty winds howling in the background, and the sound of the waves crashing onto the shore.

Of course, other than the Twelve Apostles itself, there was a whole lot of scenery to take in as well.

The walkway was very easy to walk as you can see and the angles were perfect for taking photos as well.

More photos of the scenery as we continued down the walkway.

As we ventured further outwards, we got a clearer sight of the Twelve Apostles.

And I also admired the cliffs!

And the waters!

Another different angle of the Twelve Apostles as we continued along the walkway.

And we realised that there was another side where there were two quite lonely rocks. Hehe.

Not sure if you could tell from this photo, we actually walked quite a fair bit. And soon it was time to head back!

And that was my amazing trip to see the Twelve Apostles! Even though the duration was not that long, and some people would see them as just "a bunch of rocks", I thoroughly enjoyed seeing these nature elements and thought the placing of the rocks were very picturesque as well. Definitely one of the best days of this trip!

And that's all I have today! Have you been to The Twelve Apostles or Australia? Let me know in the comments below!
